Derek Gilliland's workmanship is sub par. Deviated from my plans, and abandoned my project, after I paid him. They are NOT licensed to build pools. Check their CSLB complaints on GreenHills.

Derek and his team did a great job for us in installing the artificial turf in the backyard of our new home. The base rock was set, compacted and properly leveled to fall into the 5 existing area drains. In addition, the 3/4” drain rocks were set nicely adjacent to the artificial turf per the architect’s drawings. The team worked continuously for 4 days straight until the job was completed. Well done!

The owner, Derek, was quick to respond via HomeAdvisor, for a small project. I liked him, and trusted he would be great for a larger scale project. He started in January, 2019, and took 8 months to complete. He did an exceptional job on the drainage, patio covers, and lawn/sprinklers. However the 1,500 square feet of concrete was faulty, and he has never corrected it. The only unfinished part of this job is how the concrete turned out. at first, he said the blotchyness is just the concrete drying. after weeks, it never got better. I didn't need for it to be perfect, just more consistent. he felt washing it muriatic acid could make it better, which i was fine with, but he never showed up to do it, after spending almost $40,000, I was hoping to at least get this addressed. I sent dozens of text messages, over several months. He would commit to a day, and not show up. I had such high hopes for the quality of their work, but now I would not recommend this company for your landscaping construction needs
