Yard Works Plus

The owner of Yard Works Plus, LLC, Ralph Gerhardt, Jr., has been in the business of managing and improving our natural environment for over 30 years. It is his goal, and the goal of Yard Works Plus, LLC, to be a responsible steward to the land and water for which we care. Ralph's particular interest in organics reaches back to the '60s when, with the help of the Original Rhodesdale Gardening Encyclopedia and knowledge given to him by his grandfather, he began organic gardening. Although his organic gardening program was put on the back shelf for some time, Ralph's interest in organics never waned and he worked to integrate many organic principles in the care of the estates and grounds that he managed as a business. Ralph sought to boost his involvement with organics and in 2000, with the help of his son Gary and the rest of his family, he had the opportunity to sell organic products to Yard Works Plus clients and a small group of local folks who were most interested. In 2002, Yard Works Plus, LLC expanded its stock and range of organic products, and began to sell to the public. Ralph is very happy to see that folks have woken up and are increasingly seeking organic products and principles for their gardening needs and interests. The overriding goal for Ralph and the Yard Works Plus staff is to be good stewards to the land that we have, and to help others achieve that same stewardship. Yard Works Plus, LLC also hopes to serve anyone they can, and to introduce everyone they can to the organic way of life for the better health and welfare of individuals, their families, and the environment that surrounds us.
