Bird's English Garden & Nursery

The site has had a nursery on it since the 1940’s. Its longevity has made it one of the most interesting nurseries in the area. Customers are allowed to browse anywhere on the grounds and all eleven greenhouses are open to the public. To maintain consistent quality and offer customers the lowest possible prices, Bird’s grows many of their own plants on site. This, coupled with the friendly and knowledgeable staff, make Bird’s a preferred destination for all gardening enthusiasts. The nursery also offers a Landscape Design Installation Service as well as a Premium Planting Service. Kevin Bird, President of Bird’s English Garden & Nursery, is a graduate of Washington State University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture. Upon graduation, Kevin accepted the position of Head Gardener at Knowsley Park, Liverpool, a stately home linked to the British Royal family in the north of England. After managing the 2,000 acre estate for five years, Kevin and his English wife decided to move back to the Vancouver area in order to open their own nursery and in 1994, the present seven acre site was acquired by the Bird family.
