"Our goal is to improve how we budget, design, and purchase lighting" In the traditional model, the lighting industry has isolated architects and lighting designers from those who supply the lighting. This often results in a an inefficient and biased process that fails to yield the best design. Furthermore, in the current model the budget is created by the contractor after the design is only partially completed. We are focused on improving this process and solidifying a budget before design begins. In our current process the design is done before a budget is created and then the budget is given to the design team by the GC, who had nothing to do with the design. By connecting the designer, supplier and contractor, we can streamline the design and purchasing process, reducing redesigns, and ensuring the realization of design intent. We have a partnership with a preferred distributor in order to provide end user pricing. We will bring our mastery of the project and distributor's excellent project management team to make ensure the purchasing and supplying process goes smoothly. Our goal is to have the best product for each application, that fits within the budget that has been established. ILC will make sure the design is not modified during the purchasing process and stays true to the architect’s and client’s vision. We want to bring the project from concept to completion.
