Blue Island Lighting and Irrigation

Blue Island did an excellent job of explaining our options and installing a lighting and irrigation system alongside the work of our landscaping contractor. The finished product was true to our vision and remarkably indicative of Key West style using energy efficient LED lighting. We are very pleased with the completed project.

Bought a house on a large lot in Key West in 2010. The irrigation system was in disrepair and the landscape lighting was in need of total replacement. Blue Island not only did our initial irrigation and lighting installation but just finished our latest addition in December 2015 in time for the Key West Waterfront Theater Benefit which was attended by over 80 guests. We interviewed several companies and solicited information from friends before committing our landscape irrigation and lighting design and installation to Blue Island. Never disappointed, the design, quality of product used and installation are second to none. All work was performed on time with highly experienced people and the work area always left in pristine condition. Blue Island stands behind their product 100% and this was very evident several years ago when we experienced a number of early LED bulb failures. Called the office one day to have a bulb replaced and was informed Blue Island was changing suppliers and they would be replacing all our bulbs at no charge. That was over two years ago and I haven't had another bulb failure since.

Having admired the beautiful projects completed by Blue Island for many years, we were very excited to finally work with them at our home...and it was well worth the wait! They listened to our ideas and suggested some terrific additions and saved us a ton of heart ache! They were on time, on budget, and transformed our" ho-hum" landscape into Shangri-La! Rick Dekeyser and his company Blue Island Lighting and Irrigation are extremely creative and very knowledgeable about the services it supplies. The company took my beat up and poorly installed irrigation system and restored it to an excellent system. The expertise is subtle…who would know that treated water uses different controls than clean water (not my previous irrigation company)? The company has returned my landscape lighting to something we can be proud of again, and its solution to my water treatment sculpture was extremely professional. Blue Island’s employees are friendly, but extremely hard working. Finally, if trouble comes up with my irrigation, lighting, or water treatment and we are out-of-state, one phone call to Rick and I am sure that he will take care of the problem with the right solution at the right price.
