CLAIRE DELMAR Upon completion of a Bachelor of Media, Claire commenced her creative career as a Fashion Stylist. After five years work on magazine titles at the forefront of the industry, she took her innovative vision over to the world of interiors, including the role of Style Director for Home Beautiful magazine. Keen to share her industry experience and explore the principles of design from an academic viewpoint Claire accepted the senior position of Department Head of Advanced Diploma of Styling & Design Coordination at the Whitehouse School of Design. Claire’s love for editorial work lured her back to the publishing sector, where she made her mark as Style Editor for Inside Out magazine. Driven by her passion to discover design, art and architecture in a broader global context, various freelance roles in London followed, including stand-out work for Elle Decoration and Living Etc magazines. Returning to Australia with invaluable international insight, Claire’s ability to impart style across multiple design disciplines saw her expand her skills to the culinary world of Gourmet Traveller magazine and simultaneously develop new exciting conceptual work within the advertising industry. She also has a residential and commercial interior styling consultancy business, designs store concepts/window merchandising, styles for advertising campaigns and TVC’s.
