I would highly recommend StairBuilders. They are a very professional company. We worked with Paul who initially came to our house to take measurements, reviewed our ideas and offered very useful information. He and Jeremy reviewed the project and sent us a proposal detailing the work, the number of days it would take, the number of installers that would come and the preparation. I have to say the installers were very courteous, organized, vacuumed the sawdust as they worked. All the cutting was done outside but there is still a lot of drilling and such inside. We were warned ahead and did cover a lot of furniture and rugs. They also made sure the openings were covered. The installation was done well and the posts anchored very well to last for years to come. The price was competitive and they did make changes as per my input which indicates flexibility.

Very Happy with a curved handrail that was installed on a difficult set of curved stairs. I was worried that our odd staircase would look bad with an oak rail, but the guys did an absolutely phenomenal job. Would highly recommend them.

Jermey and Paul are a pleasure to work with. They are super knowledgeable in both custom steps and railings. They have a wide verity of railing systems to choose. Would recommend to anyone who wants to take their house to the next step!

I could not be happier with the outcome of my project. (Railing and custom staircase built) I got quotes from 5 different vendors and each one of them was thousands more than stair builders. Not only that, but none of them understood what I wanted for the staircase being built. Paul from stair-builders got it right away and had great ideas on how to accomplish the look I was going for. The result was perfect! AND they worked so hard to get everything done quickly because I have young children in the house and was concerned about not having a railing. I rarely write reviews for anything but I felt compelled to do it this time because of how happy I was with everything.

From estimate to finished product, these guys are amazing. They were able to accommodate my schedule by coming over to discuss the project on a weekend. They were friendly, professional and very informative. I received their proposal very quickly. We had several stair and rail companies as well as contractors come over to discuss our project and Stairbuilder's price was unbeatable- coming in at maybe half the cost of others! They did the job super fast and it looks flawless and gorgeous. They covered furniture and open doorways with plastic and made sure we were satisfied 100% during and after installation. My new railings completely transform how my whole house looks and feels. I was concerned about a post that I had a baby gate attached to and they come over the very next morning and fixed it in no time. I am very impressed and already recommended them to others. They are very good at what they do and I cannot praise them enough. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I don’t usually write reviews online but Jeremy and his team from Stairbuilders were just amazing. They were very professional and took the time to help us figure out the best design for our space. We had a very unique staircase and railing project that came out beautiful. I highly recommend them!

I would put the rating at 5 with one caveat. Paul is very knowledgeable and subject matter expert - but needs to know that his customers need to be coached sometimes a bit more. I worked it out of him - but I can see some may not be able to understand everything - especially if he is in a hurry. But he got me to where I wanted to be - on time and on budget and the work was fantastic ! The guys who did the installation did a truly high quality job.

I had the pleasure of working with Paul and Jeremy at Stairbuilders. Their approach is honest and professional. Prior to choosing Stairbuilders, I received quotes from many different stair contractors including RC Henderson and Deer Park Stairs. Honestly, Paul from Stairbuilders was more friendly, forthcoming, and professional then the folks at Henderson or Deer Park. Paul accommodated any concerns I had and really made it clear that doing the job right and making sure the customer was happy was his real goal. The stairs were beautifully crafted and the railings and balusters were professionally installed. Before I end this review, I want to make one more point. The quality of the materials that Stairbuilders uses is top-notch. Many of the other contractors use pine for risers while Stairbuilders uses poplar. There was no attempt to up-sell me from pine to poplar. I think they take pride in making sure the stairs they build are high quality. I highly recommend working with Stairbuilders for your next stair project.
