I was scheduled for install of countertops on my basement bar the day after labor day. It had been scheduled for several weeks (after weeks of back and forth to get decisions, measurements, whether it would fit, etc.). During the remainder of the week I had a plumber lined up to install faucets/water lines, carpenter to finish installing cabinets and tiler to install backsplash so I could get final inspection passed on Friday. I get a call on Friday before Labor Day that their equipment was having issues and they would need to push my install back to the next Friday. I emailed Tasha who sold me the goods and Victoria who scheduled. I asked them to please check with a manager or the powers that be to see if I could get placed somewhere in between jobs as mine was small and easy and it was going to be quite an issue to reschedule all these trades. Not one person acknowledged or returned an answer to my request. I had to call them this morning to find out my install date and asked for a time so I could possibly reschedule a few of the trades. They would not give me a time either. I was hesitant to go with this supplier and I wish I would have listened to my gut.

Went to StoneCrafters for a remnant piece of granite for a small kitchen remodel for our rental condo unit (26 sq ft of granite). From estimate to install was exactly 5-weeks but ONLY because I personally acted as the project manager for this job and was extremely proactive in calling and following up. I can imagine this process taking much longer if someone was not actively managing the project timeline.
Picking out the remnant piece on-site and getting a price estimate was the easy part. The rest of the process was quite painful due to their complete lack of communication.
Ordering the granite in-person on-site at the 8th ave location took some time. Laying out the my kitchen measurements to fit the remnant piece I selected with pencil and paper rather than a computer program. 50% deposit due at signing and then.....crickets from StoneCrafters.
Waited over a week with no phone call or follow up. I had to call to get the laser template appointment set up for the following week. Template guy was on time and said he'd submit the measurements that day. And then.....crickets from StoneCrafters.
I had to follow up after another week to see what the next steps were. Take my money, I want to get this counter installed. They said they would call me to set it up. They did call me later that week and scheduled me for a Monday install. They called me back the following week to confirm Wednesday install (what?) and collect the remaining deposit. I explained I would not have scheduled Wednesday because I wasn't going to be in town and that was a mistake. Nice try though. They were able to fit us in for a Monday install but the installers were supposed to show up between 3-5p and they showed up at 6:30p. They were obviously overscheduled. Again, calling StoneCrafters to find out where the installers were and why they were late after hours was very frustrating.
StoneCrafters- 2 stars (frustrating, little/no communication)
Laser Template Guy- 5 stars (independant, professional, kind, knowledgable)
Granite Installers- 5 stars (professional, precise, thorough)

Terrible service after damaging our stone during installation and not coming for a month to repair it. Passed around to multiple people. No one cares- they collected their money from Granite Depot and walked.

I think the company has numerous positive qualities starting with their sales team Carin and Alicia. My experience was over the top.
Thank you.

Simply the Best! Very Affordable and Excellent Quality.
Stone Crafters is absolutely the best in the state. I went to half a dozen places looking for various countertops and they had the best selection. And the staff was so helpful. I would highly recommend using Stone Crafters. They came to my house and measured and upon installation, the countertops fit perfectly. Great Job!
We will use your services again.
Thanks again!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. My experience with this company was by far the worst part of our remodel. We initially placed a $3,500 deposit on some quartzite and purchased a specific color of cabinets to match the particular stone we selected but Stone Crafters claimed the quartzite we purchased allegedly broke as they transported it from their previous location. This delayed our remodel by 3 1/2 weeks.
At this point, our cabinets had been delivered and installed but we had no counter tops. We were told we would not receive a refund of our $3,500 deposit and the only way we'd recoup our money from Stone Crafters would be to apply our deposit to a different selection of stone from the company. All of the selections available at that point were 60%-200% more expensive than the stone for which we'd paid a deposit and none matched the cabinets we'd purchased. Our choice was to forfeit $3,500 or increase our budget to pay for our counters and select stone that sort of matched our cabinets.
Stone Crafters gave us all kinds of assurances verbally and in writing (expedient fabrication, top quality, satisfaction guarantee) so we made the difficult decision to increase our budget. We both took time off of work and sat with a Stone Crafters professional who developed a computerized image of the stone so we could ensure Stone Crafters would cut the stone in a way that caused the colors, textures and patterns of the stone to be installed in very specific locations in our kitchen in effort to best match the color of the cabinets we already had paid for and installed (we paid extra for this design appointment). We also purchased specialty tile for two backsplash areas in specific colors to best match the areas of the newly selected stone to help solve the color-matching problem we now faced.
Unfortunately for us, things with Stone Crafters got worse. They called the day our installation was scheduled and said they had not fabricated our stone yet and they needed more time because of scheduling problems. They said they needed another week. At this point our kitchen remodel was 6 weeks behind schedule. The next week, they called and said their saws went down and they'd call when they had them up and running again - now we were 7 weeks behind and our contractor was putting pressure on us to use a different company for counters to close-out our remodel. The only thing we were waiting on was counters from Stone Crafters that we had already paid for IN FULL .
Finally, Stone Crafters showed-up with our counters - they sent a 3rd party contractor for the installation. They installed the counters, but the seams were visible and uneven and the stone had been cut incorrectly - the colors and patterns DID NOT match what Stone Crafters had promised during our design appointment. What was to be cut, per our design appointment, from slab 1 was cut from slab 3, what was to be cut from slab 2 was cut from slab 1 and was what to be cut from slab 3 was cut from 1. Thus, a piece that was supposed to be on our island ended up near a backsplash area and what was supposed to be installed on the island with one color of cabinet ended up on the counter in our dining room. None of the colors matched what had been promised during our design appointment and the seams were *extremely* obvious. When I immediately pointed this out to the third party contractors, they shrugged and said, 'yeah, they cut the stone wrong. We're only responsible for installation, we didn't cut it.' I called and emailed Stone Crafters immediately and Linda W. admitted they had cut the stone wrong and that they would fix the seams and if they couldn't fix the seams, they'd replace our counters. I believed her. That was June 2019...
Four months later - we are still waiting. Linda's idea for fixing the seams involved two visits to our house (which she scheduled, failed to show, rescheduled and rescheduled again on both occasions) where she and another employee drilled and carved holes in the counters and then filled the holes with epoxy or glue that doesn't come close to matching our counters. We now have counters that not only don't match our counters and that have visible seams but that also have giant, visible pockets or holes full of mismatched epoxy. We're also left with a cabinet that one of their contractors destroyed and a loose electrical wire 6 inches from our sink from an outlet that Stone Crafters disconnected in preparation for a replacement project that never occurred.
Needless to say, we now have to pay to replace our countertops, pay to have a cabinet rebuilt, hire an electrician to secure the live wire (which is right next to our sink) and reinstall our GFC outlet and we'll be using a different company.

Warning**
I selected a beautiful white granite remnant that had 1 flaw on it that was very obvious to anyone looking at it. My instructions for the counter top cut was to NOT include that flaw (a large black spot that was out of place if looking at the rest of the white remnant). I spoke to representatives several times about my instructions for the piece's fabrication. Each time I spoke with someone there, they said they couldn't find the instructions for the job. Also, when I picked out the piece, the employee said they would use a Sharpy to circle or X out spots on the remnant for us to indicate to the in-house fabricators what to include/exclude. I gave clear instructions at least 3 times for this piece to not include the black spot.
What did I get when it was installed? The large black spot smack dab in the middle of the counter on the main portion of the counter. It is completely obvious and I am so incredibly angry. The fabricators could have easily located the cut elsewhere as there was ample room on the remnant. To my knowledge there is no room for another cut on this beautiful piece of stone for replacement. But, of course, I don't know this for sure because I can not get anyone to call me back about the issue. I call everyday to try and speak to "Linda" but she is never available and I never get a call back.

After the granite countertops were installed the customer called and advised that they were concerned with the seam. Stone Crafters reviewed the pictures and at that time agreed to review the job details and would determine our next steps. At that time there was only one additional slab from that bundle, Stone Crafters worked with the customer and agreed to cut a full slab to replace one part of the island. We agreed that the same day of removing the original island and replacing that piece we would perform a seam blend, considered customer work. After two weeks the customer called and advised that they were not happy with the stone.
The owner called customer and allowed the customer to express their concerns.
The owner advised the customer that he sincerely cares about customer satisfaction, the material the customer selected is very exotic and is hard to fine. With that said he advised the customer he would speak with the quarry that the original stone came from, identify what bundles were sold and to whom and attempt to get matching material to remake the entire island. The owner found the bundle of material in Florida, Stone Crafters purchased the entire bundle of material and had it shipped to Denver, Co. The stone that the customer selected was leathered meaning different texture, the bundle that was shipped from Florida (additional cost) was not a leathered finished. When the material arrived in Denver the customer came and approved the material. Once the material was approved, we then sent the material to get a leathered finished (additional cost) once the stone was received, we then had the customer come down again to approve the finish. Customer approved the finish and did a custom layout of the stone. The customer has a cabinet on top of the island, Stone Crafters agreed to have our perfectional carpenter disassemble the cabinetry in order to install the new island as well as reassemble. Stone Crafters also agreed to disconnect and reconnect the customers plumbing/HVAC which was not part of their original purchase. Stone Crafters has gone above and beyond to provide this customer with quality customer service. This was an agreement to satisfy the customer, costing Stone Crafters a lot of additional cost that we were willing to do to in order to provide the service that we promised. Stone Crafters is still willing to provide the customer with this service.
This is a company that has the resources to be able to satisfy and stand behind their customer as well as their work
