We hired Mark, Grant and the team at Urban Roots to remodel our house, including plumbing, electrical and finishings. To say they were excellent is an understatement. Their team was professional, friendly, polite and focused on quality. Mark and Grant were able to provide well thought out solutions to any issues encountered. A notable example of this is during our shower remodel we wanted to expand the shower size but there was a beam that would cause a challenge with the plumbing. The plumber suggested increasing the size of the clean out post in our family room to accommodate this size increase. Mark came up with a much better solution using a customer shower base with an offset drain that allowed the plumber to plumb into an existing drain. This solution reduced the cost of that remodel item and ended up with a better looking end result working exactly as we wanted. In addition to their attention to detail and quality focus they are excellent communicators and respond to questions timely and with well thought out answers. I would highly recommend the team at Urban Roots and will use them again for any future renovations needs we have.

We had very positive experience working with the Urban Roots team. Not only are we thrilled with the outcome of our extensive principal bathroom renovation but they really removed stress from the process. In coordinating with the designer we never had to leave home to choose finishes etc. All tradespeople were highly professional. We hired them based on positive reviews from friends and neighbours and highly recommended to others!

Kitchen Reno / Bathroom Refresh We’ve all heard the renovation nightmare stories –it drags on and on, over budget, poor workmanship etc. NOT with Urban Roots Build Co. Despite a tight timeline my kitchen renovation and bathroom refresh were completed on time and under budget. Mark and Grant are knowledgeable, professional and meticulous. Communication was excellent – I was always aware of the next steps. Concerns/questions are dealt with promptly and respectfully. Billing is transparent – there are no surprises. All the trades were courteous and tidy. Mark and Grant want you to be happy with the finished product and the best part is they are genuinely nice people who are a pleasure to work with. I felt validated every step of the way in my choice of Urban Roots Build Co for my first renovation project and would highly recommend them.

Mark is fantastic! We started planning our project (a bathroom renovation) just before the pandemic lockdowns, so of course we needed to put a hold on the actual construction for quite some time. But Mark stuck with us through the whole thing -- kept planning and stayed engaged. When the time finally came to get the work done, he and his team were punctual, accommodating, and good down to the last detail. They're more than just good at their jobs. They're good people. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

I hired Urban Roots to do a full reno on my bathroom. I LOVE the final product. Looks like a spa. Mark and Grant were great to work with. I liked that the quote was detailed and they were trustworthy. I would use them again and have referred them to others.

Mark, co-owner of Urban Roots Build Co. is the most patient, easy going, professional and trustworthy contractor I have ever worked with! He stuck with us when unexpected problems complicated the job and increased the scope of the work. Our communication was empathic, respectful and solution focused and Mark was always willing to take the time to consider our suggestions and wishes throughout our project. He brought excellent trades people to the site that were courteous, skilled and very responsive before, during and after the completion of their job! Mark & Grant helped us when we were in dire need to properly reinforce a bowed exterior wall on our Pan Abode log home. We received many quotes from various contractors/builders. Ultimately decided to go with Urban Roots for their on site professionalism, past project portfolio, empathy, and comfort regarding their quoted price being on budget. At the end of the day they did an overall excellent job. They worked with an engineer to provide an affordable permanent solution. I would not only use them again, but I'd go as far as recommending them to my closest friends and family.
