I didn't know it at the time, but even as a child I started practicing residential design. For fun, my parents would drive around neighborhoods looking at houses, and built a couple homes from their own plans. I didn't complain (much) and loved the creative process of developing the designs until everything was just right. I have since earned a degree in Architecture and am happy to make your hopes and dreams a reality. I value: - Smart design: Rather than replicating the past or defaulting to convention I believe in a transformation that fits; fits your values, fits your lifestyle, and even feeds your soul. Aesthetic style is just one consideration within the project whole but good design solves problems in a beautiful way. - Family interaction: I believe in accommodating for children's spaces and parent's spaces in proximity to one another to encourage interaction. - Efficient use of space: Often more space is not the answer, and will only become unnecessarily filled. Smarter space is not only a better solution but is a joy to live in. - Healthy and Energy-efficient physical environment: New scientific information concludes that indoor air quality in many homes is two to 10 times worse than air quality outside the home! I want to change that statistic. "Industry standards" are just not good enough. I want to make your home beautiful AND safe. - "A Place for Everything...and Everything in its Place": A "one-size-fits-all" solution will leave you adjusting your life to fit your space. The better solution is your space fitting your life.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to tell you about the wonderful experience we had working with Sandi Erdman. From the moment Sandi came to our home, we knew that she was the perfect designer for us. She immediately showed genuine enthusiasm for the possibilities for our home. She listened attentively and made exciting suggestions that far exceeded anything we had imagined could be possible. Every time we met with Sandi, it felt like she had stepped into our minds to come up with exactly the right ideas to fit our needs and our aesthetic. She, quite literally, helped us see our home from a whole different angle. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!! Sandi made it easy to dream big while also helping us to efficiently take care of the minor decisions that could get overwhelming without her wonderful eye for color and design. When we met Sandi Edman, we were immediately impressed by her. We knew what we did not want in a design, but we were not exactly sure what we wanted. Sandi listened to us, and the first set of preliminary plans were EXACTLY what we wanted. She envisioned and designed our perfect kitchen. Her expertise was evident from start to finish. She was instrumental in the pulling together of all the material and color choices for a cohesive and beautiful result. She was such a pleasure to work with and was always so responsive when questions or concerns arose. She was very professional and was determined to ensure the end result met her, and our expectations. She gave us our dream kitchen!

We highly recommend Sandi after our interactions and results for two back-to-back projects in 2017/2018: (1) full rebuild of a exterior deck; (2) a living room remodel. She was the architect/designer for both projects. She helped us update our 1967 living room with 3 banks of overhead lights (none before), a ceiling fan, doors (French doors and pocket doors), and a large built-in cabinet/shelf. The design she presented was clean and fresh, while meshing with the original architectural. She paid attention to usage, architecture focal points, ingress/egress flows, lines of sight, etc... elements making the area both functionally useful and aesthetically pleasing. This room is now one of our most heavily used. Sandi was responsive and easy to work with. On several occasions she made trips to the house to help resolve typical challenges associated with remodeling discoveries. She was attentive to our requirements and interfaced effectively with both the carpentry and cabinet making teams. One great aspect of the interactions was her ability to effectively use multiple communication forms: in person, phone, email, and texting. Also, she was open to using change tracking on design documents; this allowed us to pay attention to detail while also making rapid forward progress. Sandi was great and we would definitely seek her expertise on other projects. [The date below reflects the beginning of construction, not the beginning of engagement with Sandi or the end of the project. Both projects required several weeks of construction each.]

Sandi Erdman of Neil Kelly Company has been excellent to work with! This was our first venture into the world of home renovation and she pulled together the many different elements of updating our 38 year old home with a great "Yes, we can do this!" attitude. That attitude combined with her calm demeanor, great knowledge of product sources, her excellent communication skills and professional work ethic got us off to a great start and continued throughout the project. She was always quick to respond to any questions/concerns and made herself totally available. We were always able to reach her almost immediately if necessary. We did not know which Design Consultant would be working with us and we were extremely happy to quickly realize we were in very good hands!

I was given Sandi Erdman's name by a friend who had her kitchen remodeled by Neil Kelly. I met with Sandi and we discussed the changes I wanted to make in my 1970s-era kitchen. She listened very carefully and designed 3 versions of a possible remodel. We talked about the pros and cons of each design and I finally decided on the most extensive option... gutting both the kitchen and dining room, taking out a wall and removing the drop ceiling in the original kitchen, allowing the kitchen and dining room to be flip-flopped. Without Sandi's creative ideas and skills, I would have never even thought of this major remodel. Sandi worked tirelessly with me through all aspects of the remodel: design, selection of appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting, cabinets, countertops, backsplash and flooring. She was always positive and helped me through the expected frustrations of a major remodel. I absolutely love the final design and love cooking in my new kitchen. Now my kitchen window lets me look out into my backyard rather that at a street and my neighbor's houses. If I choose to remodel any other part of my house, Sandi will be the person I will call to design the changes.

What an adventure! Sandi's personal experience with vintage home restoration -- in addition to her professional knowledge of the latest products and techniques -- made the bathroom re-do the dream that became the reality. Sandi was so attuned to my tastes, specifics, and must-haves, this collaboration was seamless. I'm really looking forward to out next project!

I always knew when I could afford to create my dream bathroom I was going to call Neil Kelly and I was not disappointed. A company that has been around since 1947 must be doing something right. They run like a well oiled machine. We've been in our home for 30 years so we've have had some experience in remodeling. Our first contact with NK was with our designer Sandi. My husband and I were both designing our own baths so our meeting with Sandi was a lot of out loud thinking from both of us, a lot for one person to absorb. She didn't take notes but knew from that moment on what we both wanted. I could not believe how much she heard in that meeting. She not only designed both baths she designed a stellar team of tradesmen to put it all together. I had picked out the perfect "pretty wall" for my bathroom from a 12" piece of tile and luckily Sandi sent me a picture of what it would look like in my wall size. It was dreadful and not at all what I wanted. Had she not done that I would have forever looked at it daily and regretted it. A company is only as good as the people representing it. Neil Kelly, you have a stellar team and worth every dollar. Thank you!

We loved Sandi and Neill Kelly! We had out kitchen remodeled at the beginning of this past summer and were thrilled with her designs and Neill Kelly's work on the project. Everything was done to perfection and we were so relieved to not have delays or sloppy work or mistakes. They listened, they followed up, and in the end really gave us a kitchen remodel that was updated but in the style of our home. Even though it was build in the early 90's, it has a mid century vibe. My father in law was the architect on our home and if he was alive I know he would feel as though the remodel was in "context" to the rest of the house. Thank you Sandi, John, and the entire Neil Kelly group for an amazing experience and a spectacular kitchen!
