It has been my honour and privilege to have worked with Paul on several projects over the last 20 years or so. My interior design skills matched with Paul’s architectural vision have made a good combination and together we have produced some pretty exceptional properties and subsequent homes for many clients both here and in Spain. Paul has a natural aptitude for design and is highly motivated, passionate and has an infectious enthusiasm that I have never experienced in someone before. He is a little offbeat and eccentric which is part of his magnetism and he will undoubtedly turn your ideas and dreams into visuals using his flair for drawing and follow through with great precision to the eventual living, breathing reality. Paul has a team of exceptional tradesmen that have worked with him for many years. They know what is expected in terms of quality and workmanship and have a great working relationship with him in terms of communication and getting the job done in the timescales needed for the client. He is not averse to get his hands dirty either especially if he feels something has not been finished to his required unusually high standard. In fact, he has been known to redecorate after the decorators have been and gone on many occasions! I think Paul’s best quality is that he loves, loves, loves what he does, and wants to be on it every minute of the day until he has produced something you will love as much as he does. He has a passion for this business like no other and still does his drawings by hand giving the customer a personal artistic edge to his work which cannot be replicated. His skills and eye for detail will drive you insane but you will be ecstatic with the end result and realise that you have acquired a design masterpiece that your friends and family will be in awe of whether that is a full house reform or just a particular living space for you to enjoy for many years to come. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending this workaholic who will work tirelessly on your behalf to make your architectural dreams for your home come to life. Paul is unique. I can promise you will NEVER find another individual with his talents and skill set. Because he is a "serial house design and builder" of some 40 years in the making, he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of architectural styles and designs. But the primary drive, the WORP engines to use a Star trek-ism behind Paul's brilliance is his vision and creativity. I've worked with him as a customer, as a co-worker, as an employee and as a partner on several whole house projects as well as hundreds of smaller glazing projects and the one constant throughout is his unique ability to design a solution to a clients brief that beats every other player, hands down. He makes Laurence Llewellyn Bowen look like a rank amateur! He can pull an idea from seemingly nowhere to turn a lumpy, boring, imagination free building or space into a treasure trove of spirit, light, energy and life. What's more, his long established links with the trades mean he can access the talent to build it in record times compared to the average. That's the last time you'll see the word average in a sentence talking about Mr Schofield though because his output is nothing short of outstanding. His engaging personal style "infect" the whole project and woe betide the tradesman who thinks cutting corners is acceptable...boom...gone! 99% of Paul's team are tried/tested/top of their game industry insiders with a proven track record spanning over 20 years. If he does use fresh talent they're supervised every step of the way to ensure the quality is up to scratch because his standards make high seem shoddy! Speaking of supervision, I've never known the principle design authority of a project visit site so frequently....my personal experience of most architects is once you've paid for the drawings...you never see them again! Paul is on site whenever he needs to be to ensure the quality or supervise a tricky design concept in terms of its build direction. I've even watched him ask the tiler to leave site while he personally finished the edge polishing of a marble bathroom...the quality wasn't right! In the final analysis, he's simply got design in his DNA...he's not a designer...he IS design and because he's spent his life learning everything there is to know about doing it right.....he does it right...every single time. Once you use Paul, you'll never have anyone design your buildings or spaces again.

We asked Paul to design and project manage an extension for our home. He'd designed projects for us before, so we knew he could be relied on to provide a high quality job. His attention to detail is first class and he only employs high quality professionals to carry out the work. Throughout the project Paul was professional in his approach but also friendly and easy to work with. The end result is a stylish and modern dining/garden room which can be enjoyed the whole year round. Our thanks to Paul for an excellent job. Would highly recommend.

We first worked with Paul 12 years ago when we decided to replace a dilapidated conservatory. It was a word of mouth referral and as soon as we met Paul, we realised what had been missing from the other contenders that had quoted us - namely, his ability to listen and understand how we lived our daily lives and therefore, how we wished to use the space. With intelligent questioning, Paul developed insight into our taste, style and preferences rather than pressing his own agenda or a prescriptive design. His vision and inspiration delivered us a stunning Orangery and Utility room that is used on a daily basis over a decade on. We are now working with him again on another transformation project removing staircases, knocking through rooms and creating another wonderful living space. Paul's imagination and design ideas set him apart, his creativity and empathy for his client are his point of difference. We knew we had found the right person for our single story extension from our first call with Paul. His positivity, creativity and connections with absolutely every trade has made such a difference. His passion for creating a space that will suit our needs as a family has been his number one priority and we are very grateful for his knowledge and expertise along with his direct and open communication style. We had a couple of unexpected needs from our local council but Paul was on it straight away and got all paperwork and approvals sorted without any fuss. People keep asking us if we are stressed out doing a job like this in the middle of Winter in the UK, but we honestly have found the entire process so straightforward. Paul's team of builders are meticulous, professional and so polite. We are in regular contact with Paul who has overseen everything from Day 1 and ensures all work is completed as planned. We still have a few weeks to go before our project will be completed and we can't wait to show off the end result!

Paul was introduced to us when we abandoned plans to refurbish a conservatory and instead opted for a single storey extension of a similar size. He was very focussed on creating a design which was allied to our planned future lifestyle and on ensuring that we optimised access to and benefitted from our garden. An overused word, but here it is well placed, Paul is incredibly passionate about what he does. His vision for the house, not just the extension, has resulted in him proposing changes to layout which we wouldn't have otherwise considered but which has fundamentally altered our perspective on the house, creating better flows and a more cohesive look. He is very well connected with the trades and is taking ownership for all planning and admin matters as well as managing the project as a whole. While we have yet to embark on the project I would feel very confident that Paul can deliver it to a high specification and with real care and interest.

After living in Sandhurst for many years and extending our old property, it was always my dream to have the house Paul created for us. We purchased an old run down property in a perfect location but needed someone that could transform it into our dream home. We had heard how good Paul was and his attention to detail, so when he came round to listen to what we wanted, it was clear he was the only person that could make our dream come true. His knowledge and experience quickly created plans that were beyond our dreams and he came up with ideas that we would never of thought of. His ability to visualise what was possible from the run down property was mind blowing and the way he developed the plans allowed us to go on an exciting journey to getting our dream home. Once plans were created, and permissions were granted by the council, Paul then magically made the plans come real, but beyond our expectations. Words cannot describe the attention to detail and if things weren't done to his standard then he would redo it until it was perfect. The result is a home beyond our wildest dreams and a home that our family loves living in everyday. He's created the wow factor that everyone who visits comments on. I suspect Paul is in demand but if you are lucky to get him then I highly recommend you embrace what Paul can provide for you.
