We are third generation Italians in this country. I studied Fine Arts, Design and Architecture. I Design and add New Living Spaces (additions) to lovely older homes. I also am quite knowledgeable regarding restoration to these older homes. I am very knowledgeable in helping customers prepare their home for sale as we have done many of these projects. Half of our business is smaller repairs such as roof leaks, stucco chimney restoration and patio or walkway restoration. We are know on the main line of Philadelphia for basement and kitchen remodels.

We offer a variety of services from design and building and complete home restorations to additions and even smaller repairs. I am the Designer so i can pass my talent on to you in an affordable manner. In the beginning of my career I worked for local Architects as their Draftsman and can say that my design work is a terrific value when compared to Architect's bill rates. My design ability is not turned on or off so it is always included in the building work.

Matthew is great! We had to have many items fixed prior to selling our house and Matthew was able to correct the stucco issues found by the inspector. Great response time, great communication, good price and friendly. I would definitely use him again.

We had to replace the entire back of our townhome due to water damage and mold. Matt and Astrid removed the old stucco, reframed large sections of the wall and then hung new Hardiplank. They did and excellent job and took time to perform many extra steps to ensure the job was done right. Would recommend them highly for any job.

I hired Matt for wood restoration around my porch roof and 2nd floor bay windows to get them paint ready. While working, he determined that the root cause of the rotted wood was my porch roof and I hired him to fix that as well. The pictures attached speak for themselves (there's a before and after). Matt does great work with attention to detail in restoring historic homes (style, types of materials, etc.). Will use for future projects.

To help Adam understand my proposal, I did a quick 5 minute sketch [free of course] of the work I'd complete for him. His Edwardian home is located in University City Philadelphia, which is very much 'up and coming'. These are very large circa 1905, well built homes.

I have an extremely old house that needs a lot of work. Hooked up with Matt and he has been addressing as his time and my budget permit. Just finished stripping and repainting my shutters. Turned out great and ran into many obstacles given the age (100 years). Looking forward to the next project with Mariani Restoration.

Richardson Brognard Okie, Jr. (1875-1945) was an American architect. Farrell lives in a home designed by him. It was an honor to restore this home's original shutters for Farrell. Farrell is a very cool guy..

Mariani Restoration repaired and painted the stucco as well as repaired and replaced woodwork such as window frames on our home. They were always professional, respectful, timely and, most importantly, responsive. Our home looks great and I note that they are now working for a number of other homeowners in our development. I would recommend Mariani Restoration to anyone and will use them again for other projects in the future.

Matt was a true professional with my stucco job that I needed done on my home. Matt took the time to provide updates and pictures daily, and allow myself and my wife to understand the decisions we were making. When we found additional problems or possible solutions, Matt was extremely patient and went the extra mile to make sure that I understood the pros and cons of the decisions that we would need to make. At the end of project, the price of the job remained extremely reasonable, and the work done for the price and experience was excellent!!! Thanks Matt... I found very quickly that Brian's beautiful Main Line home [circa 1910] was taking in a lot of water behind it's stucco through the very uppermost window in the gable. I had to very careful make this repair. I matched the existing texture well.

Mariani Restoration did an excellent job handling repair and replacement of sections of rotten wood siding and window trim on our 85 year-old house. Matt Mariani has been a pleasure to work with. He kept us constantly up-to-date on his progress with photos and explanations of adjustments he made to ensure longer life for the wood that had been replaced. Matt was very particular about finding wood that would be of similar longevity to the original wood on the house. The window trim had a decorative profile that he replecated perfectly. Matt did extensive sanding and applied several coats of primer before applying the finish coats of paint. In short, Matt is very passionate about old houses and historic techniques and we would recommend to anyone needing exterior renovation work, particularly if you have an older home.

Matthew was terrific and super creative. We seemed to really work well together and the remodeling turned out much better than we anticipated. Matthew did more than promised by taking care of many additional items around the property that were not part of the project. He did this for free once finished and keeps in contact which i like. I highly recommend him.
