It was great to working with Avi and the Levi Design Build team for designing our garage to ADU conversion. The team was very responsive and amenable to our suggested changes. We went back and forth on many design elements, and their expertise helped us design a floor plan of our dreams. They also handled the entire permitting process with the city very smoothly. Avi's expertise and experience in construction provided us invaluable knowledge when it came to navigating and choosing contractors for the construction part of the project. Would recommend Levi Design Build again!

Avi had scheduled multiple calls with me to answer all my questions to ensure that I understand the process of building on my property and what are the best ways to maximize my income from the property. We are very happy to have hired Levi Design to design and have ready to issue permits to select our Contractor. In my opinion it is extremely helpful to have approved plans from the city, floor plan and 3D renderings when bidding the project to contractors. There will be no surprises and bids will be accurate based on City approved plans. Levi Design measured our Garage and property to start the design process. We were provided 3 possible floor plans with 3D renderings. We chose our favorite one to proceed. They are talented in designing the garage to not only maximize the space but also design with a functional layout for best use of space. Once designs are approved architectural plans are created. The process moves forward with engineering and TItle 24 energy reports and plot plans. We were extremely pleased to deal with Samantha who moves the project along with the city addressing corrections and moving the plans through the city process. Samantha is extremely professional and responsive to all your communications and has vast experience with ADU plans to be permitted. After the initial design process you will be dealing primarily with Samantha and she is very knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and kind.

Working with Avi during the construction phase of a residential remodel and addition project in Calabasas was a pleasure. Avi's extensive knowledge and experience in the building industry is very valuable. My wife and I had been living in NYC for the past 30 years, and we knew that when retirement happened we were moving to Los Angeles, to be closer to our grandkids. We had stipulated a renovation budget of a little over $300K to make sure we could personalize our home for us and our grandkids and make it our perfect retirement paradise. We kind of went about the process backward, instead of first purchasing the home and then finding our contractor, on our first trip to LA we sought out a reliable contractor that could not only asses us on the project, but that could also assess us on the purchase, since we wanted to make sure the foundation and main structures were reliable and durable. Obviously not too many contractors were up for it and asked us to contact them when we had already purchased the house. When we met Avi and his wife and head designer Eti, from Levi Construction, my wife and I were amazed at their care to help us. Their experience purchasing homes and completely remodeling them also helped, but overall, their professionalism and knowledgeability of the market was amazing. We ended up purchasing a beautiful home in West Hills. It had all the essential requirements we were hoping for. It is a private home, seemingly hidden in the hills yet incredibly spacious. The home was over 40 years old, so it definitely needed a revamp, but that is where Eti and my wife went all out. Their design was amazing, is almost as if Eti and my wife were best friends. Her ability to comprehend our vision and our living needs as retirees was exemplary. Our main requirements for Levi were: exploit the beautiful view our home has to bring in lots of natural light, have an open floor layout to beat the smaller spaces we were used to in Manhattan, and create an awesome playing room for our grandkids. Their planning was so detailed and cost-effective, that with our budget we completely remodeled the kitchen, living room and former dining room, created a game room by the pool, remodeled our main bathroom and even put in an outdoor kitchen for our family cookouts. The construction work took almost 5 months, but it was completely worth it. Throughout the whole process, everyone in the Levi team was impressively attentive, clean in the work and honest with any surprises that may come along. We had to knock down two different walls to create the open floor layout and extended the kitchen adding a huge island perfect to have breakfast and big family gatherings making it a beautiful modern kitchen. The game room is a kids dream! Our 7 grandchildren all love to have sleepovers. Overall, I highly recommend Levi Construction. The quality of their work speaks for itself and but most importantly their attention and care to always make the process simple and clear to us was worth admiring.

My husband and I have had the greatest desire to completely remodel our kitchen for the longest time. Our outdated Los Angeles kitchen was dark and very small, so we knew we were looking for an open layout concept to open up our kitchen space and bring light into it. We began browsing through Houzz for different ideas, and we landed unto Levi’s Houzz profile. Their kitchen ideas were completely aligned with our goals for our kitchen remodel. We immediately called Levi Construction for a ballpark estimate. Their attention was so personal, that we invited them over to have a more precise quote. From the moment they stepped into our house, both Avi and his wife Eti, radiated professionalism and confidence, traits that we really admire. All of their suggestions were spot on and gave us a whole different vision of the possibilities for our kitchen. Eti’s design was marvelous, it was modern and clean, and the best part was that she worked with me to design a functional yet very appealing kitchen concept. When the work began, everyone on their team was extremely careful to clean up and always had a very friendly and positive attitude. Needless to say, the whole project was on time and on budget. Leaving us extremely satisfied with our new kitchen. It is our favorite space in our home.

My husband and I had been pondering the option of renting out some of our rooms on AirBnb after our kids went off to college. We were hesitant, however, about the idea of hosting strangers inside of our house. We began browsing around different contractors with the necessary experience to undertake the job, but when we found Levi Construction, we had no more shopping to do. I connected immediately with Eti, who was able to magically put my ideas into paper and created a design that exceeded our expectations. Avi, was extremely professional throughout the whole process and obtained all the necessary permits within the blink of an eye. We had to create a small kitchen and a full bathroom, so all of our water and electric lines had to be modified to meet our new project. Avi’s quote was spot one, and with the contingency budget he suggested, we did not have to incur in any extra costs. Everyone on their team was extremely friendly and were very careful to not damage my precious garden with the construction. They kept the whole area very clean, and if Avi or Eti weren’t around, everyone was able to provide answers to my queries. The project took about three months, and now, we are able to rent out that space and earn some extra income. When we don’t have guests in our newly converted garage, my husband loves to spend sometime in there reading. They were able to make that space a lovely extension of our home. We are looking forward to remodeling our home with them. We definitely recommend them for any garage conversion or home remodeling job.

I have been in the home resell business for over a decade, and never has this business been more pleasing that when I started working with Avi and Eti from Levi Construction. I have always had problems with contractors, and as an investor, these types of problems mean less revenue for me; and I am no fan of less earnings. But when I first met Avi, almost 4 years ago, he was upfront from our first encounter, and emphasized greatly on the importance of a contingency budget and proper planning to reduce any unexpected costs. His upfrontness with the estimates and what could alter the initial cost allows for more efficient budget allocation and directly to a better ROI. Another amazing aspect of working with this company, is that their internal communication is spot on. Eti, their designer, was completely up to date with our budget, and her ideas alone made my properties really authentic, which makes them easier to sell. Apart from that, everyone on the team is fully identified with their work philosophy and are not only extremely professional, but also very kind and always attentive to the smallest details. Let’s take my latest home re-build for example. This Hillside project was very ambitious, since we were working on a hillside lot with a 30 year old home. The original home seemed attractive from the outside, however, walking inside was almost like walking into a dark cave. Windows were not properly distributed and light was almost non existent. Here is where there magic came in. We had to bring 70% of the house down and pretty much created a whole new layout. We solidified the existing foundation, but decided to create a spectacular deck with Fleetwood sliding doors and a very high ceiling. Automatically, the intricate and dark original design was transformed into a gorgeous open living space that naturally merged into the deck and the beautiful hillside scenery. We added a huge master bedroom and two other bedrooms in the second story, while the first floor was beautifully set up as an entertainer’s paradise. The kitchen was designed to host great gatherings and it naturally fit along with a great room with high ceilings that embraced the dining and living area with a spectacular view to the deck. The project was very ambitious and it took close to 9 months to complete. The result however, was well worth it. It was hard not to want to move to that house instead of selling it, but by now it is no surprise, this is the third project we have worked together, and they keep on exceeding my expectations. For anyone looking to do a major remodel or re-build, Levi Construction is definitely your team.

Before we began our search for a reliable contractor, we asked around some of our friends who had done home remodeling projects for their houses which were the most important factors to consider before hiring a design build firm. We compared their answers to some of the reviews we saw on Houzz, and determined that for us we were looking for: first, is the contractor trustworthy, second, is their work quality, and third, can they manage to stick to a budget. Once we began shopping around for our ideal contractor, we met Avi, from Levi Construction. The first impression he gave me was that their attention was very personalized. This gave us a lot of confidence in them. They never dodged any questions and were upfront with our expectations. The design ideas that Eti, their designer provided was spot on. It was incredibly appealing and functional, making the whole design very unique. This demonstrated that their work was of very high quality. With regards to budget, we had nothing to worry about, since their whole design plan was done authentically to meet our budget. Whether it was workforce or materials, everything was selected with our budget in mind. By the end of our project, we realized we made the right decision, since they never exceeded it. These three standards proved very important for our project since we were remodeling close to 90% of our home and we were adding 50% of our square footage with a guest room addition and playroom for our grandchildren, apart from that, we also re-plastered our pool added a drainage system in our backyard. Due to the scope of the project, we had to move out to an apartment and acquired a 6 month lease. Avi assured that we would be back home before our lease was over, and he was true to his word. We were home a week before our lease expired. Since we have been in our newly remodeled home, we have enjoyed every aspect that was remodeled. The quality is undeniable, one of my favorites was the custom cabinet work, it was very creative and maximized all of our existing space. We definitely recommend Avi and his team at Levi Construction!
