Design Atelier Ltd

We are currently working with Atelier on a complete house renovation / extension project and they have been absolutely fantastic. We contacted Atelier shortly after our offer was accepted on the property to discuss how best to get started. We have 2 young children so were quite daunted by the idea of a project that dragged on / took years to complete. Within just 4 weeks Angie / Dom came up with a concept design for the whole house, lined up a great contractor who was able to meet our (very ambitious!) timeframes and helped us source various elements for the project. We are now 5 weeks into our renovation project and are due to be moving into the property in just 3 weeks time with the extension to follow shortly. All this would have been impossible without Atelier and we can’t recommend them highly enough.

Having worked with Design Atelier over the last few years, it has been a pleasure to come across a team who take so much pride and passion in what they do and what they deliver for their Clients. Having been in the industry myself for over 18 years, I know this passion is all too scarce and it has been refreshing to be involved with. Truly a professional team. Both Dominika and Andzelika provide by far the most seamless collaboration when it comes to consulting with myself. Always clear and concise with requests; an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to work with Atelier. Projects are guaranteed to accomplish fantastic results, this I know first hand from multiple projects such as Selbourne in Kent, Clapman Common in London and many others. Design atelier, in my belief is the best architecture firm that we have worked with. Being a building company, we have have had the opportunity to work alongside many design teams and Atelier is unrivalled, in their eye for detail, drawing capabilities, client satisfaction, producing amazing designs and vision. More importantly for us their designs work from a building perspective. When my clients ask me if I know somewhere to get some designs completed, there is only one recommendation that I provide.

I only wish I could have hired Angie and Dom! The consultation was superb. The communication was easy as could be and I was so impressed by Angie's ideas. The house is dark and cramped and it was hard to imagine anything working but within 10 minutes she was suggesting simple but creative ways to make the house work better for my parents who have limited mobility but do not want to live in a house filled with grab bars. Unfortunately the project is on hold for other reasons but I would have hired them without hesitation.

We were so impressed by Angie, who came with us at the drop of a hat to view a Sevenoaks house we are considering to purchase. Before we knew it she was weaving our tentative ideas into a creative vision for the property, which she promptly, within 48 hours, set out in black and white, complete with project planning timeline. Whilst we haven’t yet decided whether to go ahead with a project of this nature, Angie has definitely set the benchmark, given us confidence, and fired up our sense of possibility.

We're working with Angie and Dominika at the moment and it's going to be hard to write this review without sounding like a paid testimonial. From the very first discussion of our project, Angie completely understood our wants, requirements and style and has created a design that we can't wait to see come to fruition. From proposing materials and lighting design, to negotiating and dealing with contractors and suppliers, every part of our project has been handled with a level of professionalism and attention to detail that we've rarely experienced. We can't speak highly enough of Design Atelier, as they have turned what is often a difficult and frustrating part of a building project into a genuinely enjoyable experience.

We are working with Angie and Dom from Atelier at the moment. They've been fantastic. They picked up a project which was considerably over budget and have worked with us to reduce costs whilst at the same time adding new imaginative ideas that have really excited us. What we're working towards now is a vastly improved concept. What's impressed us most is their enthusiasm, energy, proactive nature, and ability to get all parties working together well. They've been a complete breath of fresh air and we wish we'd met them sooner.

We recently finished a complete loft renovation with Angie. The loft had been converted about 15 years ago - badly - and Angie came up with a completely new way of using the space. It has utterly transformed the space and the way in which we use the room. Her ideas for how to configure the room and place the different elements was inspired. That was just the beginning - she procured quotes from builders, worked on the budget with them, helped us select one, and then project managed the whole process. She and Dominika also procured all the materials we chose (many of which we found, others which she suggested), found contractors for specialist items (eg reclaimed wood flooring installers, tadelakt plasterers), and basically took almost all of the stress out of managing a renovation. We have specific tastes, which Angie accommodated (ie she did not impose her tastes on us). We also wanted to make the renovation as green as possible, which was something of a learning curve for Atelier but one which I think they enjoyed. We had been meaning to do the work for years but weren't sure where to start: with an architect, a designer, a project manager, etc - the great thing about Atelier is that they do all of the above. We LOVE our new room so much, and can't imagine how we would have done it without AD. We would use them again for any further work without question. Angie worked with us recently to create a concept design for our home renovation/extension. She listened carefully and spent the time in conversations necessary in order to gain an understanding of what we like, both in terms of aesthetics and how we want to live. We were impressed by Angie’s responsiveness and her combination of pragmatism and creativity which enabled her to design a concept for our home that really feels like us and which we’re excited to now move forward with.

Atelier helped us visualise the potential of the spaces we had, which whet our appetite and got us excited about our project. Both Angie and Dom provided us great suppliers and helped manage the design palette to ensure that the vision remained fluid and to a high standard. Attention to detail was high on the agenda and their help in delivering, supporting and finalising the project was excellent. We’d highly recommend Atelier in the future
