Andersen Design did an excellent job on our bathroom remodel. PJ was able to bring our outdated, dark bathroom into the 21st century. We could not be more pleased with his design recommendations and the thoroughness of his work. Importantly, the project was completed on time and came in on budget. We knew PJ Anderson Group was the right contractor for us from our first encounter. We liked the way PJ listened to our interest and concerns and help to enhance our initial plans. What we liked most was each person who came to our home to work on our kitchen had the same genuine values and respect making us comfortable and at ease during the whole process. The job was to renovate a 2 bedroom apartment. The Apartment is disgusting and essentially had to be taken down to the studs. New kitchen, new bath, new walls, stainless appliances, granite countertops. The renovation exceeded our expectations by a mile. PJ Anderson is great to work with and actually LISTENS to what you have to say and advises you during every step in the process. I highly recommend PJ and his company. This was a rare positive experience with a contractor.

When I began this project, my plan was to do a kitchen renovation but I soon realized that my home needed attention in a variety of areas. I hired the Andersen Design Group because they had experience in a variety of construction/renovation areas. I was very pleased that I did and am extremely happy with the finished project. I now have a new kitchen that incorporates the old dining room, a restored living room and den, a new addition to my home which replaced a deteriorating summer porch, and a new “mud room” with direct access to the garage. PJ Andersen, the company’s president, was very knowledgeable in a variety of areas – architectural design, construction (including kitchen renovations), interior design, landscaping, and more. He was easy to work with, always calm, and responsive to emails and phone calls throughout the project. He always accommodated my requests for changes as the project evolved. We were able to complete the project on time and close to budget. (I added items to the project which increased the cost.) He works with a cadre of excellent sub-contractors – carpentry, plumbing, flooring, masonry, painters, tile men, and electrical. It was evident that they all took real pride in their own workmanship resulting in a quality finished project. They were always courteous, conscientious, and respected my wishes and privacy as they completed their work. There were many times when the recommendations of Andersen Design made a significant difference in the project but here are just several examples: 1.My original concept was to do a much needed kitchen renovation. But I had a list of additional work that my 60+ year old house needed. PJ showed me how I could incorporate the old porch into the design and add many items on my “to-do list” into this project. This turned out to be a VERY cost effective approach, saved me a tremendous amount of work, and resulted in a wonderful finished product. 2.I did not want the “addition” to look like an add-on. I wanted it to look like a part of the original house. The existing structure had several distinct architectural features that I wanted to build on. For example, many of the doorways and openings from room to room are arched. These arches were continued into the new space making it look like it had always been there. The beautiful but original hardwood floors were masterfully restored and the new flooring in the kitchen and new room were replicated to appear like they had always been there. 3.The ceiling in the den needed to be repaired due to an old leak. Instead of just repairing it, the contractors recommended they install a new ceiling, now allowing for recessed lights and giving the room a new look. Finally Andersen Design recommended quality cabinet makers, and countertop professionals who they worked with on my behalf. I had a full choice of products and their costs were reasonable and services were excellent. I would recommend Andersen Design group to anyone without reservations.

Recommended by a friend, PJ was honest, willing to work within my budget, and kept me in the loop during the entire process. He was also one of the few contractors I found who was willing to do a FHA rehab.

PJ has worked for us on several occasions and has always been professional, timely, friendly, trustworthy and spot on with his estimates. Recently I had a kitchen and bathroom remodel and everything ran very smoothly. His subcontractors were wonderful as well. I would highly recommend him for any job!

PJ Andersen and Andersen Design Group provided all of the drawings, plant selection, walkway options and a variety of landscape ideas for me to consider as I was building my house. His ideas were well thought out, as well as incredibly creative. He was very thoughtful throughout the entire process and made sure that I understood the nuances of each design that he presented. Additionally, Andersen Design has done construction oriented work on my home as well. The process and the work were similarly spectacular. In a nutshell, I couldn't have been happier with Andersen Design. The work, the pace and the results are simply superb.

We have used the Anderson Design Group for multiple projects at our home. The first, and biggest, was a $40K+ backyard patio/landscaping design that completely changed how we use our backyard. We now have 2 outside eating areas, a very cozy/comfortable sitting area for 5 with great views of our new landscaping. From design to project completion, Anderson Design was there to make sure it all went according to how we wanted it done! We have used them for subsequent projects -- much smaller with the satisfaction. In one case, there was an issue with the paint bubbling and they came back and made it right. I have and will continue to recommend using Anderson Design.

Mr. Anderson did an excellent job of drawing up plans for a recent rennovation project that we did. He's very professioanl, courteous, and knows the codes very well. I'd highly recommend P.J., and plan on using him many times in the future.
