Alpha Design + Build

I live in a small downtown high rise condo in Ann Arbor. I have never remodeled anything and wasn't sure about possibiities in my space and building. I had ideas of what I wanted. The Alpha team came and quietly moved about my space as I described what I was looking for. I could tell they were thinking about what was possible, I could see the wheels moving. We worked through logistics and mutliple schemes before we started the work. With every change we made I was more and more thrilled as the changes turned my space into exactly what I wanted. The whole team was approachable and responsive to my emails and questions. I lived here during the renovation (master bath, kitchen, and painting the living space) without a truly major issue. The team was curtious in my space when I was home. Yes, there was dust, but they worked hard to keep it to a minimum. They always communicated updates to deliveries (ie kitchen cabinets) and what they would be doing next. I worked from home many of the days and again they were careful to not interupt me on these zoom calls/courses. I have a small dog and they even took care of her while I worked in person at the hospital. Once we actually started I never worried about someone not showing up. I never had to deal with the chaos of permits or finding qualified people. I would recommend this company for any project, big or small.

Alpha remodeled the master bathroom and bedroom. From design to completion the project was handled with the highest level of professionalism. Sheryl, Ken, Dan and all those involved with the project were thorough and easy to work with in every phase. This is a high quality company with high quality caring professionals.

Who knew that without increasing the square footage we could transform our small 1950s Cape Cod house into contemporary, exciting home! Our project was a remodel of the first floor which included the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, dining room, living room, hallway, plus converting the unfinished basement into a functional living space, multimedia room, storage, and laundry room. We selected an architect to create an open floor plan and Alpha Design + Build to do the construction. Jeff Martin was our Project Manager at Alpha and, at the architect's suggestion, Jeff sat in on all of the design meetings and was able to offer valuable information about construction costs, techniques, and scheduling from an experienced builder’s perspective. The construction phase went as smoothly as expected and Jeff was always available for any questions or enhancements that we wanted to discuss. We were kept informed about the schedule for the upcoming work as well as the current costs as the project went forward. Jeff and all of his crew were very easy to work with, allowing us to make as many detailed decisions as we wanted and offering us great options along the way. The craftsmanship of the Alpha Design + Build head carpenter (as well as everyone else involved) is evident in the details of the construction and the care with which the architect's plan was followed. The result has amazed us, going far beyond what we had originally imagined and is a pleasure to wake up to every day! We were very pleased about the entire process and without reservation highly recommend Jeff and his team!

Alpha did a beautiful job on our basement. All of our guests rave about it when we entertain them. Everything was done with high quality and attention to detail.

Jeff and the entire Alpha team are outstanding! They did a complete renovation of our entire first floor, including kitchen, while we were living in the home. From start to finish, the process was a breeze because of their clear communication, partnership and professionalism, and they left the site spotless every day. The end results looks just like the design drawings. We cannot say enough about their subcontractors and the quality of their work. It still looks brand new nearly 3 years later. Jeff provided clear budgets and timelines and kept both on target throughout the project. We highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again on our next project.
