In May of 1951, A.E. Fickert was started by Andrew E. Fickert and Darrell Fickert. In 1954 several insurance company adjusters approached them about doing insurance claim repairs and a decision was made then that A.E. Fickert, Inc. would specialize in insurance claim restorations. At that point, we were one of the first companies in the country specializing in damage restoration. Since then, the company has maintained steady growth and is one of the most respected restoration companies in Ohio. Today, we are one of the largest restoration companies in the country with a 15,000 sq. ft. facility in Dayton, OH and a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Cincinnati, OH. We have operated at the same facility in Dayton since 1960. Andrew E. Fickert retired in 1960 when Darrell Fickert, his son, took over. Darrell continued as President until he retired in 1985. At that time, Darrell’s sons, Rob Fickert and Keith Fickert, acquired the company from their father. Rob served as President and Keith as Vice President until June 2004 when Mike Bacevich acquired the company. The pride and determination that Andrew Fickert initially built the company upon is maintained through all of our officers and employees today. Today, we are a leading full service restoration firm, with specialized skills and training in the areas of; (i) reconstruction and structural repair; (ii) emergency structural and board-up, (iii) water damage mitigation, (iv) advanced contents cleaning and deodorization services, including pack-outs, restoration and storage of contents and laundry; (v) mold remediation, trauma and bio-hazard scene clean-up; and (vi) large loss, multi-family and commercial mitigation and restoration.
