Factory Direct Appliance

I have been working with Factory Direct for the past three years and continually impressed with their selection, availability and service. I highly recommend them to all my Clients and have utmost confidence they will be taken care of.

Imagine you order a kitchen full of high end appliances. Then imagine the person ordering those appliance for you "forgets" to order the install kit that is required to actually install said appliance. Then imagine they send the installers who ends up informing us that they can't install it without that kit. When we talk to the person in the office who ordered it, she says "well I ordered what you told me to" as if she isn't really responsible for the order in any way. Then they tell us "sorry we don't have any installers available right now - we're really busy and don't know when we can get to you. That's the kind of poor service you should expect at Factory Direct. Avoid... at all costs.

We purchased a new home which contained upgraded GE appliances. The appliances in the home came from Factory Direct. In addition we purchased a $2,000 GE refrigerator from Factory Direct. First, GE appliances are unreliable. The refrigerator was one year old in May 2017 and had had four service calls. The refrigerator stopped working after 7 weeks due to a faulty fan. That took two weeks to repair. The ice maker had three service calls resulting in all of the associated parts being replaced. Factory Direct installed the gas countertop cook top but never connected or tested the unit. The microwave has been replaced by GE seven (7) times because they keep failing. We were warned by the GE Technician never to use the self-cleaning oven because the cooling fans will fail and bake the electronics. I have sent three letters to Factory Direct in the last year asking for assistance on this matter and their response is "crickets". Once they sell you something, you might as well go talk to a wall because their job is done. They have your money and the problems associated with the products they sold you are your problem. Two lessons learned: 1. Never buy GE. 2. Don't purchase from Factory Direct because they do not stand behind their products or their delivery and installation/

I moved to Kansas City in 1997 and built a new home. I purchased my appliances at Factory Direct from Bart. Yes, that was over 17 years ago and I still use Factor Direct for each one of my Client kitchen projects. I love the fact that I can purchase my appliances from them and call them for help when they break down and the service men will be right out. The sales people have great k;knowledge of their products and always steer me in the right direction. Yes, Bart is still around to come and say "Hi" with a friendly smile.
