I had a hard kitchen to plan as it was an older home. 1930's Colonel, and required a wall removeal with support been added etc...I was refereed by my appliance salesman, after I had resiged myself I was going to have to live with the small and outdayed original kitchen footprint. Cindy was able to see my vision, she helped me find a reliable and capable contractor to install a concealed support beam, as well as my cabnets, worked with me for several months to design the kitchen I wanted, and also got me great cabnets and countertops at below the big box store price. I'm sorry she got me great cabnets, better quality and color selection, then the box stores at a great price. Cindy checked back with me every step of the way as well. She was there when the cabnets and the countertops arrived, oversaw their inspection and cheked back during installation. And my kitchen looks like it came out of a magazine. Great service, great price, superior design and customer service.

We contacted Kitchen Whisperer based on the good reviews posted. We had a very specific purpose which was to break through the indecision and free designs that weren't quite satisfactory. I'm a contractor and we had worked with a couple large store designers but couldn't quite get to the finish line. Cindy came over and listened to our wish list, took precise measurements (very valuable!) and looked at our overall space. She took these back and presented a couple options to us. We chose one of the options and after a couple revisions had a great kitchen design. I would definitely use her service again. Having an expert opinion on the flow, placement and space utilization is fabulous. Detailed cabinet placements and cabinets options helped as well. As a contractor, having scale drawings is invaluable reducing the time it takes to translate the design onto the floor with plumbing and electric placements. I believe we would have taken months longer getting to a kitchen design had we not called Cindy. Highly recommend!

I’ve coveted modern, bright kitchens with all the newer cabinet features for a long time. But lived in a 1980’s kitchen, with oak wood grain and soffits. When my husband and I finally decided to upgrade, we knew we had to find a company that met his exacting military standards, and my lack of knowledge about design. We found everything we could have hoped for with Centerville Building and Design. After one meeting with them, we knew this company could deliver what we wanted. Cindy was able to guide me through what I knew I liked and disliked, what is timeless vs trendy, and offered options for our space that we never even thought about. Richard and Jim are extraordinary craftsmen and artists. They took the design, and implemented it, with attention to every detail and obstacle. They warned us up front about the cost - materials are expensive, especially the high end ones with options and features that we wanted. And they still have to make a living, doing what they do. It was worth it, as we got the kitchen we wanted, and we absolutely KNOW everything in there, things that you can see, and everything hidden in the walls, was done correctly, and will last for as long as we own this home, and beyond. We have increased the value of our home, and will get to enjoy it for years to come. They guided us through the process of setting up our temporary “field kitchen”. They arrived every single day exactly on time when they said they would. They worked diligently every day, cleaned up at the end of each day, so we weren’t living in a mess. They completed the job exactly when they said they would, except for a change WE made at the last minute, but came and finished it as soon as the new materials arrived. These three individuals made this entire process FUN (believe it or not). I felt comfortable and safe having them in my home, even when I could not be there, and even missed it a bit once they finally packed up and left. Now I get to live in the beautiful space they left behind. The only thing I’m sad about is that they don’t do bathrooms, as I’m not sure I can trust anyone else as much as I trust them! You know the frustrating “punch list” of details at the end, of things that still need to be fixed, after they leave, and you live in it for a while? There isn’t one! They did everything they were supposed to that was part of the contract, even extra things that came up along the way. And we can’t find anything that was done incorrectly or overlooked. I recommend Cindy White for kitchen planning and design. Cynthia White designed my kitchen remodel. She made a site visit, and we talked about what I was looking for in my kitchen remodel. When she showed me the proposed plans it was exactly what I was looking for. She also helped me select materials, which was a great help, there is so much out there to choose from. She helped me choose flooring, cabinets, countertop, backsplash, plumbing fixture and cabinet hardware. My kitchen remodel is complete, and I love the cabinet configuration she designed, and the colors and materials choices worked out beautifully.

This experience was WAY faster than we anticipated. From start to finish with a complete gutting and the removal of a wall, it took only them 25 working days. Our new kitchen is both functional and beautiful. HIGHLY recommend if you need a kitchen remodel!

Our new kitchen is absolutely amazing! Cindy and Richard were great to work with, very professional, and personable. Cindy designed an open, functional space, even incorporating existing sky lights to really give our entire first floor a completely new look. The focus was a new kitchen, but the entire first floor was updated, including a powder and laundry room. She worked with us through every step, from initial CAD layout, to meeting with us to pick out cabinetry, counter tops and all the hardware. Everything was clearly laid out in the contract, and there were no hidden costs. Richard and Jim were top notch professionals. They cleaned up every day, and their workmanship was exceptional. They communicated well during the entire construction process, and were courteous and kind the entire time. The cleaned up at the end of each day, leaving the space clean and safe for our kids. Our new kitchen works so well for our family, the space is gorgeous and functional and everyone can participate in the joys of cooking. The entire team at Centerville Building and Design are A++ professionals. I recommend them to everyone who visits our house and asks who did all the amazing work. The are simply the best, you will not find anyone better.

These folks provide the best remodeling experience you’ll ever have. This is the second project they’ve done for us, and are the only remodelers we’ll ever use. Their attention to detail, and willingness to stay with it until it’s perfect are unsurpassed. They are creative problem solvers and excellent craftsmen. We felt entirely comfortable having them in our home during the Covid-19 pandemic. Call them—you’ll never regret it.

We absolutely love our new kitchen! Cindy and Richard made the process so easy and were available to help every step of the way. Richard and Jim arrived every day exactly when they said they would, and stayed on schedule despite the many challenges our old house threw their way. It was nice knowing who was coming into our house each day; the work space was cleaned up daily, and Richard was even on site to supervise any subcontractors that were needed. Cindy did a fantastic job designing the space, taking into account how we use our kitchen, and was ready with suggestions and ideas for things we were unsure about. Our new kitchen works so well for our busy family, we cannot recommend them enough!

Cynthia and Richard did an excellent job from first meeting to completion. The design and planning process went smoothly, with Cynthia guiding me and "holding my hand" through the decision making. Richard communicated wonderfully throughout the demo and build. I was able to reach out, and get a response!, even after hours. The completed kitchen is gorgeous, better than expected.
