I don’t think I can even begin to say how happy I am with my new kitchen! But I will try. De Humphries came in and helped this recent widow replan the tiny kitchen I had lived in for 35 years. My house was built in the mid-1950’s, so bringing it (and me) into the 21st century was her challenge. She held my hand through all the myriad decisions to be made and ultimately transformed my old kitchen (which was a symphony of sagging oak cabinets, darkness, linoleum, and wallpaper) into a modern, well-lighted jewel. My new cabinets have many “sexy” innovations which are making my new life so easy. The appliances are gorgeous and easy to use, even though they had to stay in the same locations as their predecessors. The sink, the floors, the walls and backsplashes, and the lighting are all delights! I break into a huge smile every time I walk in. De was with me every step of the way. She found me a wonderful contractor, plumber, and electrician to do the transformation, and she watched over all of us through the whole process. I cannot thank or recommend her enough.

De worked with me for well over a year on a big renovation which included removing the wall between our old dining area and kitchen, creating a whole new kitchen from the ground up, a complete bathroom redesign, and an amazing new entranceway. My husband and I, and all our friends and family, absolutely LOVE it! The redesign opened up our space in a big way. There is no way I could ever have done this without her expert knowledge, guidance, ideas, and patience. Between house visits, we would often meet on zoom, discussing and looking over designs, materials, light fixtures, colors. She knew all stores to find what we were looking for. Besides looking beautiful and having a real WOW factor, the new kitchen is so functional and ergonomic. For example, across from the dishwasher I have cabinets with deep drawers for my plates and bowls (being 5'1" it really helps having dishes in the drawer rather than higher up). My everyday glasses and cutlery are opposite the DW as well. I have a handy breakfast nook that has a toaster, coffee maker, etc., but is hidden behind cabinet doors. Taking down the wall allowed for one of the kitchen counters to wrap around to a wet bar facing the dining area. I also absolutely love the huge, gorgeous island, good for both entertaining and multiple food prep areas. We made sure the island seating had room for my 6’3” husband. The bathroom is a jewel, with a fixed glass panel door, curbless shower, beautiful mosaic, heated floors, and more. The entranceway redesign included replacing a cedar pony wall that surrounded a downward stairway, with black iron open railings, totally transforming the space. De also went the extra mile in many areas, such as helping me decide where to put everything away in the new kitchen. She worked with our decision not to buy any new furniture at this time and helped us make the best use of what we had, even helping steam clean our area rugs and hang pictures. She was very warm and personable, and we developed an open and trusting relationship. As a final note, I meant to write this review months ago, but got sidetracked. However, now I can truly say after living in my new space for many months that it has exceeded all my expectations!

Terrible Service! Took the deposit, 8 months later no kitchen! New Cabinets sit in my living room. Does not return calls.

Hiring De as our kitchen designer was the best decision we could have made in this remodel project. De came to the table with a calmness we needed. De is so organized and pays attention to all the details which gave us peace of mind that everything would be taken care of. The ability to explain her design ideas gave my husband and I a kitchen that is not only beautiful but efficient as well. Recommending you to other's will be our pleasure.

No one better. She really understands and listens to customers and her patience is amazing. Loved her creative spirit combined with realistic, thoroughly livable ideas. Her designs reflected our lifestyle as business owners and we really appreciated her ability to keep us out of quagmires and getting bogged down. Very organized and prepared. Very budget conscious but she came up with a unique high end look that we wanted. Highly recommend her for couples especially if you don't both agree. With her nationwide experience, she was able to suggest some wonderful ideas not common around here and better compromises than we had tried to do on our own. Can't wait until it's all finished. De Humphries never stops working for her clients — even on her own time. She is committed to making beautiful, useful designs that take into consideration their livability as well as budget and timeline. I have learned so much working with her on our 2.0 house renovation. Her plan is like having a beautiful as well as practical and exciting insurance policy for the future of our home and our life in that home. I also admire that she brings so many skills together besides art, design, and function that it's truly a "team" approach to decor all in one very talented person.

Have seen several of De 's projects and have always wanted to work with her. She has a fantastic appreciation and knowledge of space . Her colors are very interesting and appealing . I usually think I can decorate myself after owning many homes, then when you see a real decorating professional like De one thinks differently . And of course it helps that she is lots of fun and full of life !

When helping me with my design issues for a commercial project De asked many question to help us arrive at our final product. I was so impressed with the space evaulation she presented. Our clients offen comment that our lobby does not look like a bank. It feels warm and welcoming and is a place they want to stay and visit for a while. Goal achieved. Way to go De!
