The Irish Lady

As a designer and contractor, I believe our homes should not just be a place of beauty, but of peace and a refuge from the outside world. I have always thought that the best way to get to know someone is through their home. Often many objects have a story, invite a memory, speak of family and friends, successes, goals and passions telling the family story of where they've been and where they want to be. When I design a space for someone it isn't just about creating a beautiful environment, but creating a mood or feeling, such as warmth in a family room, serenity in a bathroom, comfort in a bedroom. For each person what conveys those feelings are drastically different. By getting to know my clients, I am able to ascertain what is important to them, what makes them who they are and how they want to enjoy their home. Upon completion of a project, I hope it suits my clients well and they are pleased because what I've done is functional and it fits their lifestyle; it is within their budget because we have discussed it prior to the design; and, it is as timeless as possible so that my client is happy and content for years to come. To me, the most beautiful part of design is the people and how a home reflects each personality within it.
