I have 35+ years as a professional interior designer (20 years commercial and the last 15+ years in high-end residential in the Seattle Area). My specialty has been interior architecture (example: staircases, beamed ceilings, wainscotting, fireplaces, tile layouts, etc.) and have subcontracted to two architectural firms on Bainbridge Island, Washington. With these firms, I worked on over 60 custom homes in styles ranging from Contemporary, Rustic Lodge, Farmhouse, Arts and Crafts, English Tudor, Cotswold Manor , Hampton to Storybook Historic Styles. I have relocated back to my home in Victoria after 25 years living in Portland, Oregon and Bainbridge Is., Washington. Aiming to serve with sincerity, I know my experience, eye for beauty and practical knowledge of the construction process can assist you and your clients on many levels.
I have the capacity to do staging when homes are empty by providing furnishings from an in house inventory of designer furniture, art, lighting, and linens. I offer a range of services such as selecting a paint, decluttering, additional furnishings and art to create a more attractive home. Additionally, I offer part to full interior design service.
I have a lot of empathy with older people who may want to downsize and need help determining what to get rid of and what to keep. The personal side of my work is equally as important to me as the end product.
