My husband and I hired Melody with Salazar Interiors in late spring of 2021. Five years ago, we gutted a 1990 home and totally remodeled it, but it was missing a personality. We needed a small amount of furniture, but mostly accessories and finishing touches. My husband and couldn’t agree on ANYTHING and had no idea where to begin to look, so we finally decided after 46 years of marriage that we would hire a designer or a referee! Besides dealing with two differing opinions, she dealt with a home that was structurally complete and mostly furnished with a long history of random furniture purchases. Working within the confines we presented her, we tasked her with bringing our past and future home together. Using a designer was very foreign to us, but she brought us along with her well established format. Following her lead, we found the financials and project scope very comfortable. After signing the contract, we moved through the process in a very timely manner. In 2021, we faced supply chain issues and potential price increases, but her experience within the business and with her vendors made us realize how glad we were that we weren’t out there on our own during this tumultuous time. She gave us very realistic and honest delivery and pricing information. She continues to follow up and keep us apprised of a couple (forewarned) late pieces. Not having to worry with these details were an additional perk of having a designer. Melody involved us completely in the decision making with the use of her interactive on-line design Board, providing us with enough, but not too many selections. Working with Melody on the Board we realized the knowledge and time she devoted to our project. Part of her magic was presenting enough selection to give us choice and direction, but not too much to be overwhelming. Our big “AHA” moment came mid-project when we realized that she “got us”, and that there were pieces out there we would have never discovered. As we moved through the process, she continued to monitor everything and make small changes that showed her pursuit for project perfection. We appreciated that Melody came in under budget and kept the financials very organized. We were very happy with the quality of her vendors and the selections she offered. In the time of Covid, it was great to make selections from my computer. Due to supply chain issues, our” REVEAL” was incremental, but she did put together a fun afternoon for us with most of the items. The real reveal came at Christmas when we were able to enjoy almost everything in full holiday style with our entire family.

About a year ago, I reached out to many different designers for help with a remodeling project, several days went by without any response. I hesitantly reached out to Salazar Interiors, assuming that I was too far out of Melody' 's service area, but she returned my call promptly, and we have been working together ever since. She has a great sense of style, but is not pushy. She has a great listening ear, and will diligently pursue curating items that fit her client's style and budget. What started as decorating a remodel project escalated into almost a full house makeover and I couldn't be more pleased! Melody is an awesome individual, a talented designer, and so easy to work with. I highly recommend her services.

After seeing examples of Melody's design work. I felt she had the right aesthetic for us. (Having never utilized a designer before Mel was very helpful in describing the process and how she works, costs, etc.) I liked that she was willing to have us participate in the process. For example, covering the dining room chairs ourselves, picking up some of the furnishings to save on delivery fees, buying accessories, etc. The furniture, rugs, drapes and table that we purchased through Melody are of excellent quality. She did a great job of combining what we wanted to use of our existing furniture, pictures, etc. into a cohesive design in a style that suits us. We are happy with the results and would recommend her for your interior design project.

I interviewed 3 designers and Mel was the only one that came prepared at the interview with color palettes and suggestions. I was doing the entire main floor, kitchen, formal dining, living room and master suite. I had several design issues that needed addressed to achieve the open spacious look I was going for. From the colors she chose to the furniture selection (all quality) the end look was nothing less than spectacular. It's stunning the change. So glad I chose her.

Last March, I started working from home and needed some help sprucing up my office. Melody was willing to work with my small budget and limited availability. The room is now spectacular! The walls are my favorite color, the fireplace is gorgeous, and I feel so much peace in that room now. My patients can see the room during telehealth sessions and have also expressed enthusiasm about how beautiful it is. Melody is the consummate professional and an extremely talented designer. I'm hoping she will design the rest of my home!

We can’t say enough good things about Mel! Working with her was the best decision we could have made. We had a difficult project and when we reached out, she was so helpful, and her ideas sounded great. She stayed in touch the entire time with updates, progress and to address any questions or concerns we had. She was extremely organized and always on top of everything. This is our second time using Mel. We appreciated her so much the first time we used her again. The house came out beautiful and we are very happy with it.

They did not try to up sell me ad that is refreshing. They listened to what we needed and came up with some great ideas, the last of which we are still executing later, now I wish we did everything they suggested all at once (like they suggested) At the time i thought it was overkill but it retrospect it is not. Highly recommend.

Melody helped us decorate a Living Room, Dining Room, Family Room and Foyer. The project included new furniture, accessories and rugs. She took time to understand what we were looking for and made adjustments along the way based on our feedback. We enjoyed working with her and are very happy with the outcome. Would definitely recommend Melody for your interior design project.

It was such a pleasure to work with Melody. From the initial contact to completion of project, there was excellent and dependable communication and follow through. Melody really listens to you and understands. She then inputs her wonderful creative ideas, working with you on achieving your vision- also adding inspiration and fun! We never would have thought of the some of the incredible style and color she added to our home. Enjoyed the whole process and we love the amazing final result!
