REFINED

My living room has needed help for years, but after ice dams last winter caused part of the ceiling to collapse, I finally decided to do something about it. Victoria and Allison came up with a great plan that worked with my budget, met the unique needs of the space (lots of wood, and a wood stove) and was what I wanted - something colorful and light (as opposed to heavy) incorporating my husband's music and our art. They were flexible and patient. They were also willing to work with my desire to have myself or my husband do some of the work. I couldn't be happier with the result. Thank you Victoria and Allison.

Victoria is a an excellent interior designer. She and a colleague were commissioned to redo my living room space. Victoria understood my needs and was very creative in her suggestions. She especially has a fabulous sense of color, texture and arrangements. I hired Refined because I wan't able to picture everything and was wasting my time trying to make decisions. My living is now better than I could ever have imagined thanks to the Refined team.

A few months ago I was introduced to Allison when looking for some new high end furniture. As I am by no means an expert as to fashion and/or style, while walking around the showroom I met Allison. We spoke for a few minutes as she wanted to know what the look and "feel" that I was going for. From the brief conversation she set out into the showroom to pick out a new bed set, Living Room, Bar stools, carpet, artwork and organized the delivery as well as come to my house to make sure everything was in it's place. She then, helped me select and order a few more pieces of furniture, a beautiful lamp as well as accessories and, you guessed it... She came back to my house to make sure everything fit just right and gave me the look and feel I was looking for. All I can say is "wow". For over 20 years we have built custom homes for our clients and always had included the use of our designers. I for whatever reason did not up until now and, I cannot believe what an absolutely great job she did. I now have a home were I feel so comfortable in and , is a kind of sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of owning a company. I am so glad that I met Allison. For anyone wanting to make their home something truly special regardless of how big or small the budget.. I cannot recommend Allison more. Allison did a fantastic job helping us transition our first floor from a dumping ground for kids toys to a beautiful but also livable space for a family with young children. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing our house looks thanks to Allison and Tori. We both work full-time jobs with two kids who are constantly on the go and we had no time to “finish” what we started. Allison and Tori met with us to walk through what we had already done in our living room, dining room, family room, kitchen and foyer. They listened to how we live in our home, what pieces we currently owned and wanted to keep and what we wanted them to enhance. The best part of this experience was we left it up to them with regards to the design plan. We gave them a budget, our likes and dislikes and left it up to them! The installation took place while we were away on vacation. When we returned home it was just like a design show on TV where the homeowners are brought in for the reveal! The colors, textures, patterns, rugs, art, lighting and accessories are stunning! We can’t believe it’s our house.

I was so pleased with the end result of our new house that I wanted to make sure the finishing touches were just as beautiful. My daughter suggested that I hire a designer. Hiring Refined Interior Design made all of our rooms come together beautifully at a very reasonable price. They helped me pick out the right color, style and size pillows, pictures, rugs and furniture. They also helped me use accessories that I had. I hired Allison to help me redecorate my bathroom. I wanted a fresh new clean look, with colors, consistent with my house decor. I struggled with this bathroom trying to redecorate it myself for quite some time without any success. Allison was quick to understand the look I wanted, and was able to suggest colors and other items. She gave me tons of other suggestions about the house along the way and every one of them was great. I am very pleased with the finished result and already planning other projects with Allison help.

Allison Ducharme, Sharon MacDonald and the entire staff at Interim Furnishings were instrumental in helping our family settle back into our home after a fire displaced us for 14 months. Allison selected the furniture for our entire house and did so flawlessly and quickly too. I was able to approve most of the furniture to fill my home in just hours. She listened to our wants, needs and budget concerns as well. Interim Furnishings gave us exactly what we asked for and so much more!

I engaged Allison to help me create my master bedroom retreat after living with a "blah" uninspiring space for so long. Not only did she have great ideas for the space but she also was terrific to work with. She went above and beyond to find the things that would really "make" the space. What I found most amazing was the way she was able to extract and translate the look and feel I had in "my mind" and truly bring it to reality. That's a true talent! Allison helped choose artwork for my new 5000 sq ft medical office. She was wonderful to work with and we are thrilled with the final product!

I loved my bedroom that Sharon Macdonald designed for me. She kept within budget and captured exactly what I was looking for. Sharon offers great advice, has excellent attention to detail and is very talented. She keeps to a schedule, completes the job on time and the finsih product is beautiful! I look forward to using Sharon again to design and furnish more rooms when I move into my new house in the fall.
