Rebecca Roberts Design

Rebecca was the interior designer on our recent renovation project of a large country house just outside Bath. We were updating the interior of the whole ground floor, which included, a library, drawing and withdrawing room, kitchen, garden and boot room. We also built a pool house which Rebecca helped design too. Rebecca sourced furniture, artwork, soft furnishings. She chose colour schemes, room layouts etc. Throughout the project we were offered lots of choices in terms of colours, schemes and prices. Rebecca continually went above and beyond to create a beautiful home. We always have so many compliments from guests. She also worked well with the architects, builders etc and it was a pleasure to work with her. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Rebecca.

Rebecca has helped me with large structural projects and smaller interior works. The first job was a complete overhaul of a large existing extension, we were pulling down lots of walls to create a big kitchen and the newfound space was overwhelming to plan. We didn't want to risk spending our hard earned cash on a kitchen that just didn't work for us so Rebecca helped us to visualise the room without the walls, her drawings and ideas saved us money because we could make solid decisions and then shop around to source things ourselves. Recently Rebecca also designed some rooms in a completely different home for us. Modern with low ceilings and much smaller rooms - but she finds ways of accentuating features that were non existent and she helps you to get excited about spaces that you might have given up on otherwise. Always flexible and aware of your budget she can adapt to your needs whether they are big scale and spendy or style on a shoestring. If you are a busy working parent who wants a nice home to relax in but haven't got the time or inclination to spend every weekend in a sofa shop give her a call!

In March 2018, Rebecca was recommended to us by one of the DIY SOS designers and it was the best recommendation I could ever have had. We downsized to a property that needed major renovation work. In the past, moving house has unleashed my enthusiastic creativity and I have enjoyed 'tickling up' tired rooms and designing a new kitchen or bathroom etc, however, this renovation was way more than just a tickle up, it was a complete revamp of every room in the house, including some major building work. Rebecca listened to our needs with the upmost patience. She captured and understood how we live and how we wanted the spaces in our house to work and she frequently went the extra mile when we lost our way. She inspired our thinking and came up with exciting ideas, some of which we questioned, but which always turned out to be exactly right. Rebecca’s 3D drawings and plans were so clear and detailed - we, the builders and the fitters could work from them with the greatest of ease. If we changed our minds about anything, Rebecca would embrace the changes, draw some new plans, sometimes with two or three different options to address the problem. The view from our house is stunning, it looks over a pretty harbour. We now have an equally stunning house which befits that magnificent view. I cannot recommend Rebecca highly enough - she is an outstanding designer and communicator as well as being a lovely person.

Rebecca worked with me as the off -screen designer on the BBC One programme DIY SOS. in that time she completed over 7 builds for me including a 264 sqm centre for Little Miracles a charity that helps families and kids with special needs. This build like all the builds on DIY SOS are completed in just 9 days with helps of 100's of volunteers. As off screen designer on the series -Rebecca not only came up with the design and look of each build, she also managed all the additional, and at times complex, requirements of our families which involved dealing with the NHS and Occupational health , on top of which she also project managed the builds across the 9 days. Time and time again she delivered on budget and on schedule. Her work ethic is second to none, her skill as a designer is beyond question. She is brilliant and I can't recommend her highly enough.
