We have been working with Petra and Jonah for several years as collaborators and the final product has been jaw-dropping. They know what they're doing! The process of working with them, their vision, and their project delivery services have all been excellent. As a design oriented and client driven project, Petra and Jonah were alway ready to provide key information and flexibility with challenging and complex project conditions. Petra and the MK Workshop team have been amazing to work with. Petra listens and creates a vision that aligns with her client's needs. I love how she brings together a thoughtful plan and creates a mix of new and vintage pieces giving each space character. Suppliers respect her and you can tell they enjoy working with her (response times, creative process, custom requests, etc). She is creative, expertly skilled, and organized ensuring design hours are spent with purpose and intention.

I've worked with Jonah and Petra on three projects. They get to know their client's tastes - the dislikes and the preferences - and gracefully transform the spaces into something that beautifully and tastefully suits the client. Some of their designs are ingenious (for one project they created a window treatment mount that is just amazing), and their bespoke textiles are gorgeous. The projects I've worked on with MK Workshop had generous budgets, but Jonah and Petra were very contentious of spending a client's money wisely - only splurging when it's truly worth it, and keeping the rest of the design well within the budget.

Petra and team were incredibly easy to work with and made our kitchen remodel a dream come true. Her talent and professionalism are top-notch and feel fortunate to have her in Austin. Highly recommend!

I've had an incredible experience working with Jonah from MK Workshop. Once my husband and I moved into our forever home in October of 2021, we quickly realized how out of depth we were in designing our home from scratch. Jonah has a great eye, is incredibly fun to work with, very generous with his time and resources including creating custom items, and advocates for his clients - but most importantly he is really receptive to any personal desires/wishes that we wanted incorporated, even when they were super vague, perhaps inconsistent style-wise, or even just flat out random. I also really appreciated the finishing touches - specifically for me, styling shelving with our existing tchotchkes and personal items to somehow look fresh and new (we've had these items for years and they've never looked this cohesive) but also so personal.

Working with MK Workshop was instrumental to merging our aesthetic taste as a couple (no small feat!). Petra is great at coming up with novel but practical solutions and has a real sense of color and materiality. Recommend!

I cannot speak more highly ofJonah Kilday and the entire MK Workshop team! I am hiring them again to design my mountain resort home! I initially hired him to decorate my NYC apartment with store bought items that I assumed were more within my budget. I was so impressed from the jumpstart with his vision, project management, and professionalism, that I decided to allow him to overhaul the entire space - from renovation to interior design to art curation and even custom furniture! Jonah is efficient, works quickly, solves problems, has a knack for turning any space into a " bespoke home." I love all of my custom pieces so much that I've decided to hire them to design my new mountain escape home outside of the city. I'm so impressed with their versatility and ability to design for different types of living spaces. They do not disappoint!!

We worked with Petra to renovate our home in Austin this year while living in California and she made the whole project so easy for us! Petra was very thorough, professional and so knowledgeable. She guided us every step of the way and understood what our vision and needs were while keeping our budget in mind! She took care of every single detail while we were in California and was very prompt in taking care of any issues and responding to our questions. And it’s not just us, our contractor has mentioned it to us multiple times how easy it was to work with Petra and how thorough she was . She was also so patient with helping us find some furniture pieces, finishes and paint choices! We have moved into our new home now and absolutely love everything about our house. Our house was built in the 80’s and now it’s a home that is Instagram worthy!

MK Workshop is incredible. I've been working with Jonah for over a year now and he has made decorating my new space stress-free (and honestly, enjoyable). His decorative sensibilities are amazing and he has been able to pull off the (very unspecific) vision that I had for the space. Jonah is thorough. He is diligent. He is responsive. And most of all he is HARD WORKING! I couldn't be happier with his work and the decision to get him involved in the project. He is a star--in fact--five of them. I highly, highly, recommend Jonah and MK Workshop for your next design project.

I had a terrible experience working with Jonah Kilday at MK Workshop. I do not recommend his services. I hired Jonah to design the main floor of a Brooklyn rowhouse and master bedroom. He also helped with paint color, blinds and minor furnishings for two other bedrooms, gratis. Jonah started off as warm and friendly, he has great taste and made good suggestions, but West Elm was mentioned more times than I can count. He was scattered during work sessions. It felt like pulling teeth to get him to design spaces in the Photoshop-like program designers use. I assumed as a pro he'd be organized. It felt overly long to get basic things done. The disaster came with Jonah's plan to design custom, built-in furniture for the main room - a sofa and a sectional. He got in way over his head, I spent over $20k on terrible items (way too narrow, too tall, hard backs) that I had to rip out and literally throw away. He blamed me for everything in ranting emails and took zero responsibility for terrible designs. It was total gaslighting and very sad -- and disappointing and costly for me. He was nasty about it. If he had owned up to the design flaws we could have fixed these together and parted happily, but he didn't. That's been my honest experience of hiring Jonah Kilday at MK Workshop. Avoid at all costs.

I have worked with MK workshop on several projects over the last decade. Petra is a very talented interior designer with an eye for furnishings and style that is versatile. Jonah and Petra work well together to conceive and plan renovation projects, upgrades, re-designs. They are so thorough in their approach and obtain multiple proposals from vendors and suppliers to meet my needs. MK workshop has truly been my partner for every home and real estate project I’ve been involved with and I wouldn’t work with anyone else!

Jonah did a phenomenal job picking pieces for my condo! Jonah was communicative throughout the process and managed vendors who had serious problems getting things to me. Jonah has great taste, and was patient when I asked to see more options for a piece once or twice. Highly recommend.

Jonah and Petra are amazing. A great collaborative experience where they were respectful of our opinions and price points. We were moving in the middle of winter and Jonah took care of finding us a contractor and supervising when we could not be there ourselves. We love all of our furniture and rugs. MK Workshop is always responsive and if there are any issues with deliveries they manage all the communication and resolutions with the vendors. Fantastic company!

Petra was great to work with. She really took the time to understand my style and helped me express myself in my two bathroom remodels. Her attention to detail was phenomenal. And it was all done remotely due to COVID. She has a great gift to envision space. Plus she is budget conscious. HIGHLY recommend her and would hire her in a heartbeat.
