Mitch Putlack is an exceptional designer whom I have enjoyed working with on several occasions. He has worked with me on projects including: full gut remodels of kitchens re-engineering floor plans for improved flow designing and commissioning the fabrication of bespoke furniture, cabinetry and paneling. helping select colors (30 shades of white anyone?) and finishes for a project. Mitch is extremely generous with his ideas and insights. He has a rare combination of: design genius, humility and confidence that will make any project he comes into contact with better. His talent for sourcing furnishings and laying out a room from furniture placement to improving function/flow, to layering of elements for texture and mood is consistent with his skill at improving a room's function, beauty and comfort. Mitch does a great job making clients feel comfortable talking about their design wishes and objectives and finds joy in providing environments that improve his client's quality of life. Projects I have used him for have ranged from interior painting, and floors to lighting fixtures, to family room/living room remodels to full kitchen rehabs. He consistently brought in work on budget, and would often present options at multiple pricing levels.

Mitchell Putlack is a fabulous designer. We hired him for both our homes. The first was custom built and he worked with my architect and the home was perfect. He helped us remodel an older home and it is also beautiful. Mitch listens to his customer and he improves the vision to make it more beautiful than you thought possible. Mitch is a wonderful individual as well as a wonderful designer. I would positively recommend him for your project large or small.

The working relationship with Mitchell Putlack over the past 10 or more years has been exceptional. Mitchell has worked on two of our homes, one a large Lake Shore Drive co-op in Chicago and the other a country home that has had several additions. In each instance, Mitchell has quickly understood our goals and needs and has exceeded our expectations. He is totally responsive, extraordinary in his creative abilities and is very resourceful in making a home’s design worthy and livable. The best part of working with Mitchell is our long and lasting friendship and having a wonderful experience doing it all. I only wish I had another project to work on because each home is so different and exciting.
