Mi Designer is a Sydney based interior decorating firm offering a full service solution, incorporating design, planning, sourcing, trade work, installation and styling. Specializing in interior design styling Mi Designer is your first stop when looking for inspiration and advice bringing your design dreams to reality. The creative director Sarah Tilley will work one on one with you to translate and create your spaces as functional and stylish. As a mother she has an understanding that spaces need to be multifunctional, easy to maintain, hardwearing, affordable and trans seasonal to be successful with todays busy lifestyle. Sydney is where we are based however we have an airport and can travel......we would love the opportunity to consider projects interstate or overseas....

Lucy from Mi Designer is very talented at her craft. She provided me with all the information I needed for my kitchen renovation, laundry renovation and all the furniture for my living and dining room. The design is beautiful, in keeping with my budget and the practical needs of a busy family with young kids and pets. I would highly recommend Lucy for projects big and small.

I used Mi Designer Styling to completely renovate a two bedroom apartment. They project managed the entire renovation including a new bathroom and kitchen. I was extremely happy with the service and professionalism they provided. It is an investment property and was in need of extensive renovation. I was after quality workmanship and finishes but within my budget. Mi Designer organised all the quotes and met with tradespeople throughout the renovation. I was able to leave the entire job up to the team at Mi Designer and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I recommend them highly and would definitely use them again.

We thought it would be a daunting task trying to get our Sydney CBD 2 bedroom apartment totally renovated as we currently live in the US. We have owned the apartment for 25 years and have never undertaken any updates so we were opened to ideas. Sarah and Lucy provided several suggestions and unlike other designers were prepared to give us a line by line budget. We had never considered taking down walls and re-structuring bathrooms and kitchens but they did. They took care of all approvals and engaged the right tradesmen to arrive at a finished product which all real estate agents who have taken a look at the apartment say 'stunning, beautiful and wow!'. We can't thank them enough and our only regret is they are not here to renovate our New York apartment. Highly recommend them.

Sarah, Lucy and the team helped my brother transform a standard, tired apartment into a modern wonderland. My brother was not the most organized of people, so it took a lot of hand-holding. And once the place was finished, the team continued to help and support him to make sure the place stayed in top condition. My brother passed away suddenly last year and Sarah and team went way above what anyone could ask to help me and my wife in the sad task of clearing out his apartment and get it ready to hand over to his beneficiaries. They were more than just professionals -- they were the super capable, always optimistic and smiling, friends who were able to help us (first my brother and then me) navigate some very difficult situations. I can't think of anyone more capable, professional and just plain "nice" (I hate that word but it works here!!). Thanks.

Dear John and Carol,

Thank you, your kind and generous words are humbling and both Lucy and I are so grateful for you taking the time to write a review.
Your brother Andrew became a good friend and confidant over our years working together, we miss him terribly.
He sense of humour, his love of eclectic music genres and his passion for politics and trade unions meant for interesting and varied conversations over a glass of wine, Lucy and I learnt so much from him.

Lucy and I loved that he needed us, we loved working with him and bringing the apartment of his dreams to his reality.
We admired his insistence to work with artisans, he choose creatives whom made products using their own hands... he would always choose "hand made" over factory produced...he would find and collect people and artefacts on his travels and we would incorporate them into the apartment.

We are saddened with his passing, however, it has meant we got to meet you and Carol, and for that, we are so happy to have you in our lives now.

Thank you, we look forward to our next catch up, be it via Zoom, in Sydney, New York or Maine.

I would recommend to have no dealings with Mi Designer Styling. Some of the contractors they use are of very, very questionable character. They do not meet deadlines. The project they are currently undertaking is by now 6 weeks over time and far from finished. Further more this firms motto seems to be “Ignorance is bliss’’ unpleasant issues are not dealt with but are simply ignored.

Sarah and Lucy were fantastic to work with throughout the complete renovation of our 20 year old apartment. They assisted with everything from a challenging strata to choosing paint colours and everything in between. Their ideas and suggestions for additional storage, kitchen design, bathroom tiles and design etc were welcomed at every point. We love our new home and absolutely could not have achieved the end result without the Mi Designer team. Just had my laundry and guest en-suite collapsed into the most fantastic laundry and bathroom - two horrible cramped spaces are now one large functional white fresh room with such clever design The project was creatively and perfectly designed, priced, great materials and executed with the highest quality and professionalism all the way through Recommend for sure
