We hired Martha to help us choose new interior colors and carpet for our house. She has proven herself to be extremely knowledgeable about color schemes and design elements. She’s also very friendly and worked alongside us with the professionals we hired for the painting and carpet installation ensuring we were getting the right products and materials. She is available at all times and we contacted her through phone, email, and text. She is very responsive. Because she listened to our concerns and wants, we are over the moon happy with our results.

Martha, thank you for your keen eye for design and attention to detail. Specifically I appreciated your advise in vetting out the different vendors; helping me correct the color I chose by adding a little of this and a little of that; and most importantly creating an environment which helped me feel confident in my decision making - so many decisions revolving around my full kitchen remodel. I could not have been happier with MC2 or more specifically with Martha and Craig - both of whom have an incredible sense of design and compliment each other perfectly. In addition, Martha is truly a born project manager and Craig a master craftsman. We had purchased a 1700 square foot cedar home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The place had been built in 1978 and hadn’t been updated since. To say it was dated would be a vast understatement We planned on a complete renovation which involved gutting the kitchen and the bathrooms, drywalling over the worn cedar walls while refurbishing the cedar ceilings and heavy ceiling beams, redoing the floors, tearing down walls, cutting out windows and doors, removing a large rambling spiral staircase which divided the great room as well as removing an old wooden stove sitting atop a brick pedestal painted fire engine red, redoing all the ceiling and wall lighting, refurbishing the outside cedar and replacing the 30 + year roof. It was a large undertaking requiring a cash outlay of about $300,000.00. To complicate things the renovation was done during the Covid lockdown with all the ensuing supply chain issues which made Martha’s job of scheduling contractors, installation, and finding suppliers an absolute nightmare. Dealing with all the bottlenecks and frustrations would have been more than a full-time job for me so having someone as skilled and knowledgeable as Martha handle it was a godsend. She was on top of every detail from the most minute (the pipping on the custom pillows for the setae) to the large (the redoing of the exterior walls, deck, and roof). What I appreciated most about Martha though was her vision in seeing exactly how each piece in her design would work in the context of the whole. I have to say that I was skeptical of some of her choices on first viewing but when I saw them in the context of the entire creation, I could see that they were exactly the right choices. It was as if magically the whole thing came together in perfect harmony. A few of the things we needed could not be purchased and were custom made by Craig. He made two perfectly fitted side tables with hammered bronze legs and beautifully marbled granite tops, a perfectly shaped oval coffee table with the same legs as the side tables and a thick glass top as well. In addition he engineered two custom swing out mirrors for the bathroom sinks which are held flush with the wall when closed so as to allow for a large unobstructed window over the sinks which looks out on to the garden while providing a mirror over the sinks when needed for grooming. Throughout the process both Martha and Craig were extremely responsive – keeping us updated on the progress of each piece of the project. They would always pick up immediately when called or return the call within an hour or two if unavailable. In addition, they are truly lovely people and were an absolute delight to deal with . I couldn’t give them a higher recommendation!

Martha was amazing to work with! From our first meeting, she was professional, openly communicated with me, and made the redesign of my living room so easy! Most importantly, she listened to what I really wanted! I have custom built-ins and she even arranged for a painter to come and repaint them. Everything from start to finish was stress-free and ended up being beautiful. I highly recommend and would not hesitate to use her again for any future projects. Thank you!!!

Martha at MC2 really helped pull my rooms together. She helped me choose paint, fabric, tile, and some furniture. I found Martha to be very responsive and organized. So nice to have someone guide me thru the process when I was just stuck and stumped where to start.

Martha is a high caliber interior designer with a keen eye for color and spatial layout. We worked with Martha and MC2 Design on several areas of our home and were very pleased with the results. Martha is detail-oriented, professional and keeps your project moving forward which was very much appreciated, especially since our design work was being completed during fires, evacuations and COVID! We love the curated art (paintings, photographic art, glass work and bronze pieces) she found for our home. She transformed our living room into a music room/library, and recommended and chose paint color for our master bedroom wall which really made it much more elegant. My favorite part of our design work with Martha was that she was able to bring my powder room vision to life. We would definitely recommend Martha and MC2 Design, for both large and small projects!

We had the pleasure of working with Martha and Craig on the remodel of our kitchen. Martha listened to our vision, and made suggestions on colors and styles that would complement our existing granite counter tops and house style. She came up with ideas that I would have never thought of. Martha custom painted our cabinet doors, and with her skill and attention to detail, they turned out beautifully. We live full time in Colorado and needed a local design company to help us with our vacation home. Martha and Craig of MC2 Design worked with us on our beach house in Bodega Bay and did an excellent job! We had several areas that needed work; the priority was a new wall to separate the master bedroom from the main living area. They put together a design plan and drawings for the wall and supervised construction with our contractor. The wall and interior window they designed worked so well that it looks as if it has always been there. Then we decided to hire MC2 for the rest of the projects that we had in mind. They listened carefully to our requirements to update the living room, master bedroom and sleeping loft/TV room. They presented recommendations with samples and a full design plan for our review. After discussions and modifications we were ready to proceed. This included color coordination of paint, fabrics, carpets, furniture and blinds. They also designed custom efficiency cabinetry and storage for both the kitchen and laundry areas. The space is beachy and fun but has a fresh, updated feel with a sophisticated color palette. We have now hired them for a third time to re-do the attached cottage on the same property! Martha and Craig make a great team with both "big picture" and detail orientation. The communication was very effective with no in-project surprises. We can recommend MC2 Design without reservation.

Martha is an amazing interior designer and a true professional! She always called me back and showed up when she said she would. She really listened to what I wanted and needed and gave me exactly that. When she came over for our first consultation, she had so many ideas that I never thought of. I immediately I knew I had picked the right person. I love my new space! It is truly life changing. I worked with Martha on a tune up of the space in my living room. We had the pleasure of working with MC2 on 2 occasions in San Diego. Designer Martha Channer brought us on as a cabinetry sub-contractor, one project being residential and the other for a Hotel Lobby in Little Italy. Our LEICHT showroom was within walking distance of the Hotel Project, which made it not only convenient for us all, but Martha knew that LEICHT had the perfect door material choices and colors, designed to last in a busy Hotel Lobby. MC2 was great to work with, a lot of communication was necessary to pull all the strings of many custom made parts. Their design was very creative and they brought in craftsmen from all over California to create the new look. They were respectful and appreciative of each experts input, thus the work went smoothly and the new lobby looks amazing. I would definitely work with MC2 again, they land fun and creative projects, which are always appreciated, by clients and craftsmen alike.
