Lydia Houston’s style of design is eclectic with a use of bold statement patterns, a vibrant palette of colours, but with a functional and practical anchoring. The design studio is run by Sophie Lydia Williams. Sophie studied Architecture at the University of Plymouth and graduated in 2011 with first class honours. Since then she has been gaining experience in the property industry, before honing her crafting skills as a designer maker, exhibiting and selling at craft markets across the Cotswolds. This experience of making gives her an extra understanding and involvement in any design project and scheme. As well as making home-wares and furnishings, Sophie often paints original artworks for her project interiors. Lydia Houston Interior Design works closely with makers across the local area, enabling our interiors not just to be collated, but are made bespoke for our client's tastes and spaces. These range from holiday homes to commercial interiors. We very often partner with a bespoke furniture and cabinet makers based in the Cotswolds, English Heartwood. This relationship has enabled us to create bespoke pieces for our clients, and the cabinetry design knowledge and craftsmanship that English Heartwood bring to each project is invaluable and unique. Our most notable project so far was to renovate a town house in Cirencester, Gloucestershire to be used as a holiday home and UK base for a family of five.
