I recently purchased an older home and hired Safiya Design to help renovate the main floor as it was a little dated and in need if some work. From beginning to end they were very professional and kept to the timeline. Sharifa is an amazing designer. She has a wonderful eye for designing spaces WHILE meeting my expectation for how I want to live in our home paying attention to all details. We were hired by Safiya Design Studio Inc to fabricate and complete an interior iron staircase and railings. There were very easy to communicate and co-ordinate with on the tasks on hand. The deposit and progress work payments were all paid in full and as per the sales agreement and they ensured all the trades worked well together and remained on schedule. We look forward to future projects.

What a great decision it was to select Sharifa Alonzo of Safiya Design Studio as our interior designer! We had a living/dining room area in serious need of updating. As we are in a rental unit we are limited as to what we can do to alter things such as floors etc. Sharifa immediately came up with ideas to deal with our space and neutralize that which could not be changed. I had pulled a number of pics as my inspiration. Sharifa completely got my vision and sourced truly incredible fabrics, rugs and light fixtures. I was also extremely pleased with the recommended professional services such as the furniture refinisher, reupholsterer, and art installer. All were excellent. My sofa & armchairs were purchased from Ridpaths, likely in the 1960’s. Sharifa has succeeded in updating the pieces to a timeless elegance. The furniture looks sophisticated and stylish. Paired with the beautiful transitional rugs she found, the whole room is transformed. We have had nothing but compliments. I would whole-heartedly recommend Sharifa for any design projects. Working with Sharifa was a real pleasure. I appreciated that she was always on time and met deadlines. We had delays due to issues on our part but Sharifa remained a real pro throughout & rolled with it without complaint. Sharifa is a talented professional and was extremely respectful of our choices and budget. We truly love our space and will definitely consider Safiya Design Studio for our next project.
