K.R. Designs

K.R. Designs is a full service Design firm based in Houston, Texas started in 1990. Successfully created beautiful interiors NOT based on the Designer’s Branding, but by listening to the Client’s needs and wishes. Many of these projects were renovation oriented and opened up the opportunity to work with my husband’s construction company. Here I was able to control and implement quality interior architecture coupled with the owners style and my creative twists. I took a right turn in 1997 and began an 18 year journey as the Director of Design at the top Interior Merchandising firm in Texas overseeing models for production builders all over the US. It was my job to stay in front of color and style trends, present and sell to the heads of said builders, specify and design all of the interior selections and oversee up to 20 designers while they implemented the sold project designs of 200 models per year. I always knew I would end up back where I started – back to my Residential roots. After a two year hiatus, I reinstated my K.R. Designs dba and coupled up with Houzz to use the phenomenal well rounded years of design experience and bring about those special environments that client after client have been so happy with after working with K.R.
