Character, personal touch, traditional with a twist, colonial plus modern accents, a little bit eclectic, a lot custom designed, contemporary feel, some hygge… those are my go to styles. But the leading phrase here is “designed around your needs and lifestyle”. With my diverse knowledge I design cabinetry, original tile combinations and patterns, functional storage and creative use of alcoves, patio and deck areas, kitchen gardens and intimate outdoor retreats, outside elevations, inventive uses for sheds, garages, attic spaces (she sheds, art studios, home gyms, workshops) and statement furniture pieces. What gets my attention is projects that need custom work, functionality and a little bit of thinking. I always aim for a high end look, but can address more affordable ways to shop and alternative materials to choose from. My relationship with clients is as important as the quality of work that I do. I still very much value face to face contact and getting to know the people that I work with. I can be flexible and take on as many duties as my customers feel comfortable with, but I make sure that they trust me and we are all on the same page. My detailed blueprints, drawings and floor plans with descriptions are a guarantee that there’s no confusion on the building site. I don’t take on a lot of clients at the same time. I prefer to built relationships and have a well balanced life, so you will always know where my attentions is. Getting a degree in Architecture sparked my admiration for diverse European design and excitement about wide choices of building materials. It also taught me critical thinking, being accurate and the importance of an iconic saying “Form ever follows function”. My second goal has been to know the trade in a very primary way. That meant rolling up my sleeves and picking up a hammer. That’s how I have started out, but 4 years in and I had mixed concrete, tiled, built custom furniture and ventured into landscaping. The idea was to know what can and can’t be done and feel confident when expecting certain quality of work. Checked and checked. Need help in narrowing down the style that resonates with you the most?
