I've never worked with a designer before, and Jane is making the experience fantastic. She gets my style while also being flexible about individual items and conscious of my budget. She brings a ton of enthusiasm to my project that makes me excited to see the results. I'm very appreciative of her expertise, confidence, and cheerful attitude, especially when I am feeling unsure. She's an awesome partner for any design challenge and has connected us with top-notch service providers. I'm so thrilled we have her help turning our house into a cozy home!

In the transition to a full time remote job, Jane was there to help design my office to be an amazing space to spend countless hours in. She helped every step of the way including finding good paint colors and extremely professional painters, helped find the perfect framing for some art I had been meaning to hang up, and furnishing the space.

Jane is professional, responsive, knowledgeable and also very personable. I wanted advice and guidance in choosing paint colors for our 3000+ Sq ft multi level modern design home. She not only made suggestions in the pallet I was considering but also nudged me a little outside my box to consider and choose complimenting colors. She ordered samples of real paint, not just pictures, for me to move room to room for consideration and provided recommendations for painters she works with. Jane is Excellent!

Jane is a natural born gifted designer. She sees things that I could never even imagine. I’m blown away by her gift. I told her the style I wanted and she creates the style I wanted. She’s fun too and goes above and beyond. She knew exactly what needed to be done right when she walked in and even did some stuff right away without even knowing if I was going to go with her. She also has excellent communication. She will get back to me right away and follow through on everything. She’s a gem I believe she is the best!!

We feel she has kept us as a priority and wants to get things done in a timeline that works for us. We’ve also benefitted from her relationships with contractors. We were able to get a quality painting job done, and have someone lined up to remodel our bathroom at a time when contractors are booked out for months. Jane’s design sense has been a big help to us as we’ve had to devote a lot of time to prepare for our new child, and we’ve appreciated her taking the time for our feedback and ideas as well! We’ve had a great relationship working with Jane so far and look forward to seeing our finished home coming soon!

Jane has excellent taste and was able to design our master bathroom remodel in a timeless, yet stunning way. She helped us find direction, including major movement of our shower and vanities. We did not know where to begin with materials, color, and pattern choices. Her design guided us through every step of the process. We are so pleased with the final product!

Jane has done wonderful job setting up our living room. She is pretty responsive and knowledgeable. We did review lot of others work, but Jane's work stood out among all of them. All of our friends love our living room setup. She did pick furniture from different places to give the space unique and personalized look. Overall, it has been smooth working with her. I would recommend her to others. In future, if we plan to setup another space, we would definitely work with Jane again.

We were looking to remodel our kitchen and master bath and this was our first time ever hiring a designer. Jane was very professional and patient to answer all our questions and give us useful insight about the remodel. Jane provided us with remodel designs that met our styles and look we were seeking. Not only did her work provide us with the design we were looking for, it gave our contractor the details they needed for what we wanted as the final design.

Jane was amazing in helping me with a complete living room redesign and choosing paint colors throughout my home. She completely nailed my style with just a brief chat and questionnaire and did everything remotely due to Covid-19. I love my new living room!

This was our first time ever hiring a designer and wow I wish we would have done it sooner! We’ve used Jane a few times now and have loved the results. First to pick out wall colors for our entire 3200 Sq ft house (every single room and wall) and then carpet to match blinds, trim and new wall color. Then she helped us design, furnish and decorate our incredible dining room and living room, and then we hired her again for a design and furnish of a home office, which btw imo is my favorite space in the house! It is awesome! She did this via e-design during the pandemic even! We consistently get tons of compliments on our decor and design etc. all because of Jane. I have to say that we would be on the frugal side of spending and Jane was able to stay within a reasonable budget. We learned our lesson though with being overly frugal! if Jane recommends you spend a little more on something, do it! There is a reason for it and how it supports her vision, and usually it won’t break the bank. We decided on another couch because it was cheaper and I regret not going with what she initially recommended! However she gave us options at many levels of prices/cost which was helpful for us and we also got ideas and were able to buy like-things that worked and she proved guidance on that as well. She is reasonably priced from our standpoint and the results are truly magazine-worthy! We love our house because of Jane. Would hire her again, and will, in a heartbeat!

Jane was my interior designer when I moved back to my condo after renting it out for many years. Jane was a breath of fresh air! She provided consultation for hardwood and carpet flooring, paint, window treatments, a fireplace tile face-lift, and lighting fixtures. My boyfriend and I moved in together; Jane was very helpful and merging our two styles together, from furniture to artwork. This home feels like US – and we both love it. Thank you, Jane!!

We found a lot of value in working with Jane on the design of our remodel. She was flexible regarding our budget and worked hard to come up with ideas that aligned with our taste and complimented our existing project.

Jane was the keystone that brought our project together. We had planned for years on redoing our kitchen, but when the dishwasher leaked and damaged the cabinetry and flooring, we knew it was time. Still, we didn't have the grand vision of what it could be, and the last thing we wanted to do was begin repairs without it. Was it possible to get everything we wanted in the finished kitchen? We met with several designers, and were honestly underwhelmed with the possibilities - lots of uninspired one-size-fits-all plans that left us frustrated. Then entered Jane, who truly listened to what we wanted, engaged, and even challenged us on what the space could be - she had great ideas. She worked with us from the first day to the last, and we valued her input every step along the way - from the original layout, figuring out our style and developing a concept board, selecting the materials for the countertops, the flooring, the tile, and even the furnishings to make this space our own. I could not be more pleased with the final result. Friends and neighbors that stop by comment on how fabulous it is, and say they wish they lived here. We are so happy we found her. We look forward to working with her again in the future to update our bathrooms.

Jane was exactly the right fit for the remodel on our guest house and made quick work of choosing paint colors, furniture, flooring, and art - all the stuff I was dreading! Her clear eye and assertive style helped me cut through all the decision paralysis that goes into remaking a space, and we got the project done in record time. The updated guest house is bright and open and lovely and has delighted and enchanted our visiting family and friends. She's genuinely brilliant!

Jane was a true godsend! I had just moved into my new space and was planning on hosting some family within a month. Even with this insane timeline, Jane was ready to start helping ASAP, and oh boy, did she DELIVER! We would make multiple trips to different stores to buy furniture, decoration, artwork, and other items we felt were necessary for the space. Throughout the whole process, I always felt that my opinion was heard, and she also did a good job in conveying her suggestions without making me feel dismissed. She would come over and help select the most optimal locations for the items we purchased, as well as helping oversee the placement of furniture and artwork. We were working hard until the very last day before my guest came, and when they came, their jaws dropped in awe as they saw what the space had become. Jane was my first experience with an interior decorator, and I left the process feeling like it was very worth it. I'd 100% recommend Jane for any interior decorating services. and I plan to consult with her in the future if the need ever arises!

We worked with Jane to gain some design ideas for our kitchen/home remodel last summer and parted ways feeling disappointed. While we appreciated her thoughts and ideas and used many of them, I don't think we were a good fit for her, overall. We were doing a lot of the work ourselves and my husband is in the construction industry, so he gets very maniacal when it comes to detail (measurements, space management, etc.). In looking at Jane's past projects and reviews, I believe she works great with people who need a project manager and have a large budget to work with - we were neither of those.

We were looking for a designer to help design our newly built 3500Sq Ft home in an upscale neighborhood. We found Jane through Houzz and were a bit skeptical at first because she was not referred to us by someone we knew. However, we ended by hiring Jane who designed our whole home within our budget so beautifully we get asked by every one who walks into our house. We love our home each day even more. Throughout the process, Jane was very confident about her thoughts, was open to our inputs and considered them strongly, brainstormed with us when we were not sure, and flexible to adjust plans to stay within budget. She was very approachable from the beginning and was equally excited about the project just as us. We are waiting for some final art pieces and furniture to arrive before taking pictures. We will be sure to post the pictures as we complete the design. I highly recommend Jane for designing homes in budget.

Working with Jane for our kitchen remodeling project was a blast! She is very knowledgeable with design and fashion, keeping up with the times. While really listening to our vague intentions and multiple desires, she provided clear direction, guidance and candid feedback. My experience working with Jane was really reassuring, removing STRESS from the equation. Our project was a kitchen remodel involving tearing down a bearing wall from family room and integrating the design with other areas now connected with open space. While I had a vision for this significant undertaking, it was really helpful to have someone listening and providing thoughtful guidance throughout the process. From assisting with the overall design, to handling the research with suppliers and driving work with contractors, she provided tremendous value. Before deciding to work with Jane, I had discussed our project with other designers who ended up not a good fit either because they found it was a too complex challenge or because it was not their style of design or what "they did". Jane was able to take on a design style because she was confident in being able to help us with our vision and what we really wanted. The result is a beautiful kitchen, a new open space area, well integrated with the rest of the house. Jane is super fun to work with, she is efficient, respects our vision and saved us good money.

My wife and I started working with Jane in spring 2018, planning a remodel of our master bath, a new powder room and a future Kitchen project. We completed the bathrooms in November and continue to work with Jane on the kitchen and other various projects throughout the house. We were initially on the fence around the need to hire a designer, but are very thankful that we did. Jane has guided us through every step of the process and helped tremendously with the contractor on things we wouldn't have anticipated. Also, as most couples embark on remodeling projects, it's been great to have a third party to help us compromise and come to a decision on tile, hardware, colors, etc. Additionally, I found that our design interests are aligned with Jane's, so everything went very smoothly. If you're looking for someone to champion your project, we'd highly recommend Jane!

Jane is a great design partner. She's helped make some solid decisions on paint color, built in cabinets, closets and our girls room design. She works hard to ensure the things contract out get done at high quality and that furniture is in top top shape delivered. If something isn't perfect she does whatever it takes to make it right! She's a really fun and positive person to work with!

Jane helped me chose colors, tile, exterior stone and carpet. I was building my first custom home w/o a builder and her help was really needed. She was easy to work with, flexible and responsive.

Jane designed a beautiful new kitchen and bathroom for us. We had a very small kitchen and were not sure at all how to make it into a larger space. She came up with a great plan that we could never have done on our own. She was there for every step, from construction down to making all those little decisions on colors and styles. She listened and took the time to get to know us, what we liked and really wanted. We loved it all so much, we then asked her to help us re-decorate our living room as well. Jane is a professional in every sense of the word! She will take your ideas and turn them into beautiful renderings that puts the project together visually. From that moment on she will help you with every important detail along the way. From putting together concepts to picking out tile. Jane will go so far as to meet you at the furniture store to help pick out the furniture for your vision to be complete. She is very decisive and will give her opinion. We worked with Jane this past year on a complete renovation after our vacation home flooded. At first, we thought “how hard could it be to pick out design elements?”. The answer is that it is super hard!! We knew certain ideas that we wanted and Jane took those ideas and ran with it. She made sure everything was cohesive and would produce the final result that we wanted. When we look at the house now, we can’t imagine what it would look like without Jane’s help. And even with the house being far away and requiring a ferry trip to get there, an incredibly frustrating building crew, Jane was always open to helping us. After seeing Jane’s other work and with what she did to our house, I can confidently recommend her to anyone who maybe just needs a little help or someone who wants a designer to completely handle the project. She works with you at the level you’re comfortable with. The 3D renderings Jane does are invaluable. They helped us picture her ideas and also were a huge help to the building crew. Jane has exceeded any expectations we could’ve had and has truly transformed our house into one that finally feels like home. Jane assisted us with a bathroom remodel. She did a great job in coming up with creative ideas to transform the space, leveraging the basic structure that we had. Jane was organized and in front of work that needed to be done to keep the project moving. She was also always available whenever we needed her help, a pleasure to work with.

Jane is great! Hired her for our chiropractic office design. We have now hired her for our second location and project. We love how she value engineers the space to be reproduced at an affordable price. She gave us ideas and suggestions on how we could get the same look for less. Jane was wonderful in helping us work on our extensive main floor (primarily kitchen) remodel. She and our contractor Dustin Wells worked well together. Jane has a great eye and has the capacity to adapt to her clients preference without being too pushy. A major plus in this industry! Jane has a warm a friendly personality as well. We get nothing but complements on the work we have had done. Everyone one who sees it LOVES it! That is a huge complement.

Jane is an amazing designer. I knew I needed to remodel, but she showed me all the different options and created a better space than I could imagine. She designed a beautiful great room, with plenty of shelving and space. She had a really good eye for colors and tiles. I don't think I could have ended up with a better space.

Jane was great, fun and easy to work with, she was prompt, thorough but most importantly, she understood my style and what I wanted resulting in 3 very different bathrooms that reflect my style but were put together in a creative and unique way. She was excellent and pulling tile, paint, and fixtures all together. In addition, she designed a bathroom vanity that I could give to my contractor which saved both time and money. I will definitely give Jane a call next time I need any design and decorating advice.

Jane Brookman Designs has entirely transformed my dark and dated kitchen, dining, and living room! I had put off remodeling because I was overwhelmed and no idea where to begin. I wanted to take out a wall to open up my dining room, move appliances, and restructure my cabinets and pantry. It felt like I would need an engineer and an architect to accomplish all of my goals, but Jane was able to determine the functionality of the space so it met my needs, while also incorporating my style & vision. I am pretty confident in what I like but did not know how to make the space look the way I wanted it. Jane asked me to show her some images of kitchens I liked and help me with every single material selection. From stain colors for my floor to back plash patterns and all my lighting choices- she was invaluable! Jane did a great job listening to me and balancing my taste along with hers. What a blessing it was to be able to hear her suggestions and get her advice on my ideas. I love everything about my new house and would highly recommend her for your next project. It was one of the best decisions I made and I will definitely be using her again on any of my future remodels.

Jane has been such a tremendous help to us. Having purchased a new home we definitely needed some direction on how to handle our new great room. She came and took the time to take measurements and talk to us about what WE really wanted the room to look like. What kinds of things we liked. Styles, colors, textures all of it. She created several digital examples of how we could use the space. Which really is so nice. It's one thing to talk about it but incredibly helpful to have a visual. Our space is a little funky but she had several great ideas on how to style it. We had a pretty restrictive budget. But Jane was able to squeeze in everything we needed AND wanted with hardly any sacrifice. From start to finish I really feel that Jane had nothing but our wants and needs in mind. Not only did she do a great job and was very professional, but she made it fun and we couldn't be happier in our new space.

I had moved recently and felt like none of my old things worked in my new house. Jane's energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and her patience in working with us and our budget was appreciated. We couldn't afford to replace everything at once, so she helped us determine our top priorities. I find trying to pick out home furnishings overwhelming. There are so many different styles, so many places to shop...working with Jane is great because she narrows down my choices. I have the final say, so my house is full of things that I chose, but I didn't have the stress of finding them. Jane's vision fits our house and our own personal style as well. She took into consideration that we have young kids and that we don't plan to stay in our current home forever. She helped us with the basic layout for our living space and organization ideas for all the kids stuff, as well as helping is pick interior and exterior paint colors. I was completely overwhelmed at the beginning of my project but Jane made our life so much easier and I can't imagine how I could have gotten by without a designer like her!

I hired Jane to space plan and design my one bedroom apartment in Seattle. She took a 750 square foot awkwardly shaped space and turned it into my beautiful sanctuary.
