Harry began to hone his eye for design at London's renowned Chelsea School of Art. Then in 1982, he moved to New York City where he embarked on his interior design career under the mentorship of interior designers Gay Matthaei and later, Robert Metzger. Harry honed his craft and developed a unique design sensibility that would come to define his distinctive and thoughtful style. In 1989, Harry Schnaper Incorporated was founded.
