There isn't a single day that we don't feel incredibly fortunate to live in our home. It's all thanks to Harleen. We were able to buy a 1925 craftsman in Northeast Los Angeles in late 2020. We felt overwhelmed with the prospect of furnishing and partly remodeling such a beautiful home. We did not have nearly enough furniture for all of the space. While much of our existing furniture at the time was a poor fit, there were also certain pieces that we needed to keep and display for sentimental reasons. To make things even more complicated, my wife and I have very different tastes and very different communication styles. Harleen deftly navigated our thicket of contradictory suggestions to weave together a vision for our home that both my wife and I continue to love. In addition to her great design eye, Harleen was also a great project manager. She researched and helped identify competent contractors and effectively managed them. Despite the challenges of sourcing furniture and materials during the pandemic, she was able to get our home remodeled and furnished over the course of a few, short months. If we could go back and do it all over again, we would choose to work Harleen every single time.

She really took the time to understand our vision which we wanted to be beautiful but also functional, and we couldn’t not be happier with her work. Modern. Minimalist. Sophisticated. Eye Catching. These are the words that describe Harleen Walia Design. I had the pleasure of working with Harleen when I was planning my daughters nursery. We worked together from the initial steps all the way down to the execution of every last detail. She spent the time to listen to what I had in mind, started formulating a design concept. She did her research on all the best products that were high quality but also baby friendly non-toxic GOTS certified items. From there she insisted that we spend the time and effort to look at the larger items in person so that each item was exactly what we had envisioned and I would be satisfied with the items. . I was impressed by her attention to detail and the ability to take my own idea and elevate it to the next level. I think anyone looking for a professional designer who is going to give 100% of her attention and effort, Harleen Walia design is your company!

Harleen designed my new condo in Westchester. After consulting with a few designers she stood out as the most personable and the only one who really understood my style and exactly what I was envisioning. I had some ideas pinned but had no clue where to start. She took everything and flawlessly designed my perfect space, even suggesting ideas that I would never have thought of myself. Envisioning the product was made so much easier because she provided me with drawings and 3D renderings of the space. This made me so much more comfortable committing to large furniture and renovation expenses. My condo turned out even better than I ever could have imagined and I’m hosting all the time to show off my gorgeous new home. Thank you so much Harleen!

Harleen did an amazing job designing our new construction home! She was very thoughtful and personal, ensuring that she considered our personal preferences of color and style, while also thinking about the practical nature of the daily home life.
