Sobre nosotros

I have a BA in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design in Chicago. Since 2007, I had been with Ethan Allen, where I have held the position of Visual Merchandiser and Design Consultant. I have many happy clients that have become friends over the years of working on design projects. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements and all Living spaces can all create questions that need design answers. I personally have acquired a "fixer upper" in northern Illinois and completely understand how crazy the fixer upper process can be. I can be a wonderful asset to help you. I enjoy making a house feel like a home by creating rooms that reflect my clients’ personal styles and meet their functional needs. I always assures my clients that investing in furniture doesn’t have to be scary and that I can help make it fun. I believe in bringing out each room’s full potential using window treatments, area rugs, and accessories. I strive to always exceed my clients’ expectations with great design and great service.

I cannot thank Erin Van Nevel and Ethan Allen enough for taking our house and making it home. Erin provided design ideas and selections for every room in my house. She saved me an incredible amount of time and money...I used to wander around furniture stores in analysis paralysis and ultimately not quite make the right choices. Erin took the guesswork out and provided creative and workable solutions for every room. Put Erin's professionalism, knowledge and ability to meet deadlines and budgets to work. You will not be sorry!

Erin has been instrumental in designing my home for the last two years. She understands my desired style and aligns her recommendations accordingly, also keeping my budget in mind. She has a great disposition and I appreciate her insights on the design process.

My wife Ann and I supplied a complete floor plan for a new home we were building in South Carolina last summer to Erin VanNevel and asked her to put together a "Southern US Coastal Style" Great Room, Master Bedroom, Guest Room and screened in Lanai. We were amazed at the detail, use of color,and diferent textures she presented us . When the builder said he needed final colors for the Great Room walls, trayed ceiling and the bedrooms, dining area, hallways and ceiling , Erin had a detailed palate of colors with contrasting colors highlighting the extensive wide crown moldings, and beamed 12 foot ceilings. The builder, my wife ,myself and all that have visited this new home so far have raved about the tasteful use of color and the inviting and warm Coastal Style furniture she brought together. We can't wait to get her down there to start working on window treatments for the massive sliding glass walls and large paladian windows. Erin is an artist ! John & Ann Fitzgerald

Erin is wonderful. She helped me completely refurnish a family room & sunroom. I had been very frustrated prior to meeting with her, working with a different designer from a different company, who was leading me a direction that did not exactly fit my taste. Erin listened to what my vision for the rooms were and helped bring it to life. She offered great suggestions, yet was very flexible to change things to accommodate my opinions. Super happy with how things turned out!

Erin has been a delight to work with. She has helped us to totally redo a guest suite, provide accessories, a chair and new window treatments in three rooms. She is pleasant, professional, on time, respectful and listens to what her clients are saying. I have worked with many interior designers but no one as helpful and professional as Erin. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of decorating advice and skill.

Erin is the best! One day we stumbled into Ethan Allen and were exceptionally lucky that Erin was the designer who was free! Erin is professional, creative, flexible, reasonable, diplomatic and fun. Erin was able to look at our big picture needs and helped us build beautiful spaces that weren't just filled with just Ethan Allen furniture, but she made sure that everything flowed together. When we were going a deign direction that was a bit too whimsical, Erin was diplomatic about telling us it was ugly. She heard our design spirit though and helped redirect us to a fun design. Erin helped us manage to our budget, which sometimes took creativity, and was flexible with where and when we met and if we had our 4 kids in tow or not. We have a few more spaces that we eventually plan to redesign and Erin will be our list when it comes it!
