In the twenty years of owning his own interior design studio, Frank Gill has accomplished much. From his involvement in the Marriott Desert Springs Estates to his work with high-end builders in Cypress Heights, Rancho Mirage, Carrera Estates, and Point Happy estates, Frank has experience with both interior and exterior design. Some of Frank Gill Design's completed projects have even been featured in Desert Magazine, Palm Springs Life, and LDB Interior Textiles of NYC. Yet, in spite of the number of pent houses and large homes that he's refreshed with his creative abilities, Frank will tell you that his clients are his greatest source of inspiration.
When you go to meet with Frank for the first time, wear something you love; something that showcases your personality and the lifestyle you lead. For Frank, getting a feel for who his clients' are is the most important step in his creative process. He feels that you can tell a lot about a person from how they present themselves. Knowing the client is what defines his entire design philosophy. Frank loves to play with color, texture, and the use of light within a space. His projects, when finished, have a contemporary feel with clean, modern lines juxtaposed against lamps and vases with soft shapes and paintings in welcoming color pallets. Frank has often used a client's favorite piece of artwork as the foundation for a room. He gets a feel for each individual space: how the natural light falls, how the room is shaped, what purpose the room serves for the house, and goes from there.
Frank has no set process for beginning a project. Everything comes down to what an individual client wants and needs. Frank recognizes that no two projects are the same, and refrains from any set rules or steps as a result. Thank to Frank's wonderfully gifted creative team, he often has pieces of furniture made especially for a home. This assures the unique nature of each project and helps capture even better the unique personality of each client since no two couches or end tables are the same! It is abilities such as these paired with past experience that gives Frank the unique ability to see a project from start to finish; from conception to completion!
