This was the first time working with Matt at Fortunato Interiors and appreciated his design aesthetic and as well as communication to be able to work through unforeseen issues and constructablity. He was conscious of budget and delivered specifications that helped keep the goals organized which made for a successful project to the clients. We would be happy to work on another one of his projects in the future and enjoyed this one together.

What if you could get someone fun, kind, and impossibly stylish to give your home a makeover so that every time you walk in the front door you feel happy and like you can take a deep breath and relax? Matt of Fortunato is that person. He is incredibly easy to work with, has an innate sense of style, and really listens to you in order to create a personal, well-considered design. He's also very knowledgeable about vintage and can source one-of-a-kind pieces so that your home design is unique. My living room was kind of barren and cold, I couldn't figure out how to make it work and had no time to source the kinds of pieces that I was interested in. Matt completely revamped the room and designed a built-in piece of furniture to take advantage of an awkward layout. He totally understood the vibe that I was going for, even though I didn't describe it very well, and saw the potential that I couldn't see. Everyone who comes over to my house immediately exclaims how much they love it, and it's a real pleasure to come home now.

Matt helped me select various pieces for my house over the last year and they've made a huge improvement in the experience of living there. We focused on using touches like plants and small-scale furnishings to help define space in my large open format first floor (new construction). He has a knack for finding amazing vintage furniture all over Portland and beyond. The role of music is an important part of his interior design approach that most people don't initially think about. He worked within my small budget to identify a few things that would optimize my sound system, and it's been a move that encourages me to hang out in this space more than I ever had before.
