"Do What You Love, Love What You Do" This is the inspiration behind Designing Women Interiors, where we believe that when you love what you do, you are able to provide both excellent products and customer service to each and every client. Designing Women Interiors was formed in early 2004 by principal, Kelly Banks and has consistently grown with satisfied clientele throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. After many successful years in the corporate arena, Kelly Banks decided to take her love of design and her vast business management experience to become the driving force behind Designing Women Interiors. The ultimate goal of Kelly and her company is to create harmonious, balanced, and functional living environments for every client. An important benefit of working with Designing Women Interiors is that our primary focus is to identify your needs and develop a design concept that fits your lifestyle, budget, and most of all, your expectations. We stand behind our work, and regularly ask our clients to provide feedback on our services. We’re satisfied with our work only when our clients are satisfied; we find that referral business is the greatest measure of our success. Our clients are working harder these days and many of us are working from home. We strive to give you spaces in your home for work and pleasure, where you are comfortable and can truly relax, escaping the daily challenges of life. We take a personal approach by meeting with prospective clients for an initial one-hour consultation. During this time we profile the client to identify which design style (from classic to contemporary) best reflects your home and lifestyle. We become familiar with the architectural details in your home and how a design theme will enhance those details. We ask questions that help us determine how your lifestyle, hobbies, family and friends will all blend comfortably within a proposed design plan. We show all of our cabinets lines in our studio by appointment. We can review options for door style and finishes as well as counter-tops, tile and cabinet hardware. Whether you want to start out with our "redesign" services, move on to a whole new look, renovate your home, or update your exterior design, Designing Women Interiors possesses the expertise to work within your budget to your complete satisfaction.

Kelly Banks of Designing Women Interiors is one in a million. She puts her heart and soul into our remodeling projects and really makes them shine with her kitchen and bath designs. She is creative and thinks outside the box to come up with the most fluid, functional designs. Her designs are tailored to meet the client’s style and wishes. All too often we find designers that push a cookie cutter design. Each one of her designs are unique, dynamic, and a joy to watch unfold. Kelly is a team player and works well with my entire crew. She is also learned in the construction industry, where most designers are not. She understands construction lingo, where most designers do not. And she understands cost implications of potential changes and can well inform clients of cost effective alternatives to get them what they want. Her contributions with planning, product sourcing, and lead times help keep our projects on budget and on schedule. Kelly is an essential part of the remodeling process.

Kelly was a delight to work with. She was very efficient, professional and creative and always had our best interests in mind. She helped with the design, helped manage schedules and also sourced vendors that gave us the best deals that cut costs without compromising on quality. We highly recommend her.

I can't say enough good things about Designing Women Interiors and Kelly Banks. Kelly is simply the best! My husband and I started a major remodel and then unexpectedly he passed away. It was obviously a very difficult and heartbreaking time for me, but Kelly expertly guided me through all the design decisions that had to be made. She understood the direction I wanted to go....at times better than I did. And she carefully chose options for me to consider keeping in mind my taste and budget. Kelly was always prompt and accessible and kept the whole project on schedule. I highly recommend Kelly and Designing Women Interiors!

Kelly Banks helped me with the gut remodeling of my house, redesigning the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, living and dining room. See pictures. She was exceptional. She understands the client's taste and preferences, she has great organizational skills and a reasonable billing approach. "I don't like to surprise my clients," she said at the interview. And she didn't! All along, she brought in great ideas (suggested a sofa better and cheaper than my pick), insightful comments (devised a color scheme and concept for the whole house) and terrific references to websites and people (found furniture at sites I didn't know about.) She is very respectful of the client's ideas and there is no ego in her work (unlike some prima donna designers that I worked with!) Kelly is very mindful of your budget and does not like extravagances. She always takes the time to answer in detail her emails. I was extremely pleased with her work and would definitely hire her again.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kelly Banks. She managed our kitchen and landscaping project extremely well. She paid attention to detail and was a wonderful partner with whom to talk through design decisions. Her combined skill set of listening, analyzing, and keeping within a budget was an asset to getting the most bang for our buck. She was also very good at coordinating the various contractors with whom she worked. Kelly is a fantastic designer. She transformed my cute, but out of date maple kitchen, to a very sophisticated, grey and white, bright and airy master piece! She has outstanding vision, and I could not believe the final "product" - it is far nicer than I ever envisioned - I love it!

Kelly takes the time to really listen to your needs. She has worked on a couple projects for us. First she did our office reception area. We had a funky warehouse and she found the perfect balance of raw warehouse and a welcoming area. Second she did our 14 year old daughters bedroom. Kelly rocks at finding the perfect color. She found a calming purple color to paint her room (I was worried about the purple). Kelly then painted over the wall with a clear paint that acts as a white board. In the middle of that wall she put a huge bulletin board. It works perfect for my very creative daughter. The kids come and draw on the white board walls - they LOVE it. Finally Kelly did our 12 year old sons room. She found this bed that was perfect for him. It was a full size bed on the bottom and then a bunk bed up top. My son loves that bed! She also found the perfect desk for him to set up his computer and other gadgets.

Kelly has helped me on several different interior design projects over the last 4 years. She recently completed a large job for me on a house I just bought. As always, she has surpassed my highest expectations. Her creative design ability, her commitment to meet deadlines and her ability to stick to the budget has made working with Kelly easy and fun. She listened to what I wanted, help guide me in my choices and handled everything from A - Z. Her communication and follow through is excellent and I always felt that she was available if I needed to speak to her. I strongly recommend Kelly from Designing Women for any interior design work you may have and I'm looking forward to working with her again.
