For over 18 years, Alicia Geerlings has built Design Intervention into a full service design firm that brings beautiful, functional spaces to countless clients. Alicia draws inspiration from her extensive travels, European connections and love of good old southern hospitality. She grew up in Houston, TX and has lived in several east coast cities along the way before setting roots on the mainline in Devon, PA with her husband and children. Our style is good design! It doesn’t matter if you are modern or traditional, transitional or eclectic, good design principles - scale, light, quality materials, color value - always ring true. From total, top-to-bottom renovations; all size additions; kitchens, baths, updating a room at a time or simply offering a fresh prospective, we offer it all. Your home should represent you, not what you think the trends of today are or what is expected of you, but simply be your best representation of who you are and how you live. Alicia approaches the creative process in layers. She starts with a simple, clean plan; great site lines; and incorporates the clients lifestyle and loves. She then layers colors and textures onto the space to create warmth and flow, all along the way dotting the space with the client’s personality so that when you walk in you know it’s not a model home, it’s not a catalog home, it’s your home. Lastly, she sprinkles in bits of pop and punch for fun, like pillows or florals arrangements which can easily be swapped out seasonally or whenever the client wants a little instant gratification. We are a small firm, offering personalized, attentive guidance throughout the process; thus you will be working directly with the principal designer and head project manager on all decisions.
