My Experience I am a Residential and Commercial Interior Designer also recurrently working as Art Director for several TV Home Renovation shows on HGTV, DIY Network and most recently, the Magnolia Network. I worked 3 years as Creative Director for an international upscale outdoor furniture manufacturer, rebranding, designing their national showrooms and staging their catalogs. I also have a passion design blog on the “art of Vacation Home Staging” for people considering owning and running a Vacation Rental, or as it’s now called, an “AirBNB”. My Personal Aesthetic My style has been described as comfortable elegance, vibrant and curated. I jokingly refer to it as “Suburban Swank”, a livable comfortable elegance. I love sensory surroundings – soothing and relaxed yet vibrant with color and texture, spaces that are tactile and make you FEEL something. Your spaces should reflect not only who you are, but who and where you want to be. Picture Bossa Nova playing, cocktails in beautiful glasses and you sitting by the fire in fuzzy slippers, that’s Suburban Swank. Whether it’s a small E-Design project, a furniture catalog photo shoot, designing with what feels like a gun to my head (TV Design) or a large scale modernization “gut” job – I love it all. I enjoy losing myself in E-design, building in 3D virtual design, showing clients drawings of what the different potentials for their spaces could be, then seeing them get excited, emotional and enthusiastic about their project. I also love transforming non-performing AirBNB Vacation Rentals into a beautiful regionally inspired place you want to be and seeing them thrive.

I am a clueless man when it comes to design. I approached the problem the same way I approach all things that intimidate me - delegation. I was referred to Deisi by a trusted friend of mine. I informed her of the adventure she was about to be entrusted with and she took the project in stride. When she came by to see our apartment she was astonished by my previous definition of "decor" (A lawn chair and a T.V.). I talked about my interior design as if I knew what I was speaking on. Turns out a T.V. that takes approximately 70% of your apartment wall is rather large, but nonetheless we found a compromise that works for both parties and now I'm living in an apartment that has furniture that complements my T.V. I could not ask for a better person to work with nor will I. Deisi is a number that will be on speed dial, in case I decide on a bigger T.V...

I've worked with Deisi for years both as a collaborator/work colleague and having her consult on my own projects. She is just a joy to work with in both residential and commercial projects. She has excellent taste, fast turnaround and delivers exactly what was requested within budget. I also found she came back with really helpful options and recommendations I had not even considered. She has great talent and skill with managing space, color palettes, textures and, I don't know how else to say it, 'Mojo.' She can create a space that is elegant, timeless, trendy, chic, glam, pro, modern, urban, rustic, casual, impeccable, you name it. She takes the time to understand what the clients want to experience from a space and then delivers that outcome. My family and I bought a home this past summer when things were still a little crazy with COVID. After going through the crazy housing market, we were so excited to remodel and put our touches to our dream home. We didn’t realize how busy designers were and how hard it would be to find someone. Many of the interior designers we called, didn’t even bother returning my call. One actually had to gall to tell me to look for someone in my zip code! Then we called Deisi. Despite being elbow deep in multiple projects, she offered to help us. She realized what a unique and special house we had and wanted to keep the character while updating and modernizing it. She didn’t flinch when we sent her a hundred Pinterest pictures and ideas. She found a way to make it work and design rooms that were exactly what we had in mind. We have changed our minds so often, and she has always been so amazingly kind about it. She is mindful of our budget and is very careful about her recommendations. She has loads of knowledge about materials, furniture, art, accessories, you name it. There may be lots of designers out there, but Deisi not only has the talent and experience, she has the heart for it too, She knows that homes are people’s sanctuaries and the largest investment most people will ever make. She treats her clients and their homes with the respect they deserve.

i think anyone who has done a remodel or any project on their home can appreciate how overwhelmed one can be by the amazing about of decisions that are required to pull the project off. I can tell you that if i had not had the great fortune to hire Deisi Vazquez to help design my dream Kitchen, Master Bath and Family room it would never have happened. Deisi has a unique way of getting to know what her clients like and also how to get them to see what is possible and what was never imaginable. Her Computer aided designs with tons of options made it easy. if you want a stress free experience i would not hesitate to recommend her services. AND she is not done with me yet as i want new furniture and a whole new look to go with my new home improvements.

Deisi was just great to work with! Sensitive to the details, and loved creating a space that was unique to the spirit of my house. Since my Airbnb has opened one of the most common comments is how well appointed each room is. My budget wasn’t as large as I would have liked however the interior design of the house tells a much better story! Very much looking forward to working with Deisi in the future when it becomes time to refresh and renew!
