Catherine at Northbay Kitchen and Bath is a delight to work with. Her knowledge and experience with design and product was my guiding force with my remodel of my kitchen and living room. She’s professional, patient and positive. I highly recommend her.

We are extremely pleased with the our time spent with Catherine designing our three bathroom remodels. The process of selecting materials can be overwhelming, so having a trusted advisor available to sort through and filter just the right materials was critical to the success of the project. Catherine very quickly determined our intended style (Rustic Modern) after meeting with us at the showroom and visiting our home in Mill Valley. She set aside products/materials that met our target aesthetic, and helped us finalize decisions. We were also very pleased with the decision to use the contracting services of Dave Frym (with North Bay Kitchen and Bath) to construct and install all of our baths. All the pieces came together perfectly and we could not have been more pleased! We are anticipating using Catherine for the design of our kitchen remodel.

We lost our house in the 2017 California wildfires. When we started to rebuild we quickly decided that we needed to hire an expert interior designer. Fortunately we found Catherine. She was able to quickly evaluate our needs and personalities. She has incredible sources for purchasing everything from light fixtures to tiles. She is also cost conscious and was able to find wonderful pieces for very reasonable prices. We would not hesitate to recommend Catherine for any design project!

We met Catherine when we hired the contractor to renovate our entire house. Always pleasant and professional, Catherine is a great listener and a wonderful resource for ideas, materials and styles that we could have never found ourselves. After a couple of meetings, she and I were completing each other's sentences. She guided us to some new ideas and looks that, combined with our old and new furnishings, made for a stunningly classy but totally comfortable home which we love. The added bonus was that she kept our contractor on task for our project too. I highly recommend Catherine to all, and I look forward to working with her on any new projects to come. She really captured our tastes, and our home is a beautiful space that totally feels like us, but better!

We hired Catherine to consult on our kitchen remodel, and how grateful we are for her guidance! We already had our very general design completed, contractor, etc. However, she came up with additional design suggestions that we loved, ongoing support, and was ALWAYS available when I was having a major meltdown about something. Catherine is VERY is very professional, innovative in her ideas, a great listener, and excellent problem solver. Our favorite was her suggestion for the vintage porcelain floor tile ....our updated kitchen perfectly compliments our 1920's craftsman style home....We would HIGHLY recommend Catherine for any home project!

Catherine was such a joy to work with. Not only is she super pleasant, but her brilliant design sense made an overwhelming process simply a pleasure. I brought her some sketches for my proposed master bathroom remodel and Catherine improved upon the design with solutions I hadn't even thought of! She understood my taste and preferences instantly and the result is just what I wanted. She discussed every detail with me and really cared about the outcome. Her expertise was invaluable.

I have used Cathie's services for 20+ years, through three homes. She quickly determined my style, my favorite colors, and designed the perfect surroundings for our family. When we built a new home in 1990, her services were invaluable in determining the big things; floor color, counter colors, wall colors, etc. I have recommended her to family and friends often. Her measurements were always 100% perfect. When I had bedding made, or things reupholstered, the people doing the work always mentioned that they never had to worry about Cathie's measurements.

My house was built in 1940's and nothing had ever been done. Catherine's design opened up the small galley kitchen into a spacious living area. She designed an island that resembled an antique piece of furniture which seats four comfortably with an off white distressed look. A sea foam green granite top with three pendant lights above showcases the island. To keep some of the vintage feel, the cabinets she designed were custom built with the same distressed creamy off white along with a large farmer house sink. I had four hand painted Italian tiles that she suggested be placed right above the stove inserted into the back splash that came out really nice. Two of the cabinets above the counter are lighted with glass doors and crystal knobs that sparkle. I had new hardwood floors put in a light colored oak. The kitchen flows into the living area with a wide cushioned window seat that she designed with drawers below holding extra storage. It's a very useful and comfortable seating area. The whole room feels warm and cozy and I love entertaining my friends in this lovely space. I'm so pleased and proud of the way everything turned out. Catherine really knew what I was looking for and it turned out beautiful.
