For over 15 years, Carlisle Design has created spaces which incorporate elements ranging from story-telling antiques to trend-setting focal points for a range of clients, both residential and commercial. Our clients are our neighbors within the Central Pennsylvania Area as well as those in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware and Northern Virginia. Our goal is to evoke a welcoming feeling by creating a space that is elegant, refined, discerning and of course, functional. We loved working with Julie and her team on our first floor addition, which included a remodel of our kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, dining room and downstairs entryway. She brought talented tradespeople to different aspects of our project. She was responsive, fun and listened to what we wanted. We valued her ideas and we are thrilled with the finished product. She helped us find furniture that fit our family and our space - mostly upcycled, as is our preference. She also incorporated some of our most special family items into the new design. We would happily work with her and her team again!

She took the time to listen and understand what we liked and needed from our home, and guided us through design choices that created the perfect beautiful, functional and livable space for our family. Julie kept our budget an important factor, and kept us in sync with the builder and cabinet maker. We have recommended her services to many friends!

I knew I didn't like my kitchen but I wasn't sure what to do with it, aside from tear everything out. My project must have been a CHALLENGE (read: nightmare.) I wanted a big beautiful chef's kitchen -- straight out of HGTV -- in my tiny 1,100 square foot home. We have an eat-in kitchen and no separate dining space. Of course, I also wanted this for $2.50, maximum. ;) Ok, my budget was a little more realistic than that but not much. Julie puzzled together an amazing design that maximizes every inch of space. Most people who see the new kitchen ask if we moved a wall because it feels bigger. She also helped marry my design preferences (traditional) with my husband's (contemporary) to create a beautiful midcentury kitchen, an echo of its 1964 architectural roots. I conceded my island for the defined dining space preferred by hubs and he threw in the towel on his crusade against my white upper cabinets. Julie coached us through a stunning and harmonious plan. We love it. I am ecstatic about this project and will be reaching out to Julie in a few years to figure out how to update our 1960s bathroom. Get ready Julie, because we want to keep the teal wall tiles. It'll be a whole new challenge. Check out the pics to see her fabulous work.

Julie was our design consultant on a recent kitchen renovation. She was fantastic! She offered a variety of alternative roles from complete project oversight through construction to periodic design counsel. In our case, she played an important role in the space layout, helping us to select a cabinetry vendor, and then a multitude of decisions on color, countertop materials, backsplash tile, paint, lighting, hardware, and appliances. She brought a balanced, independent perspective, making sure the final style reflected our unique home and style preferences. She was extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with on this project. Highly recommend!

When preparing to undergo a major house renovation I must say I found the task daunting and intimidating. As soon as I met Julie all those worries went away. Her kindness and professionalism exceede any standard. She has excellent incite, impeccable taste, and appreciates budget concerns. She is very patient and was very accommodating and flexible a necessity to our family (3 young children can at times be distracting and cause unexpected disruptions). She took everything step by step, never was overwhelming, and always encouraging and practical. She has a knack for finding great deals while at the same time producing a beautiful end product. I highly recommend Julie Estes and wish I had more projects just so we could meet regularly again. We absolutely love our resulting project and highly recommend Julie Estes, Carlisle Design.

Julie is true professional to work with! Keeping appointments and communication back and forth is so important to me in this crazy busy life and Julie does both. Her listening skills and creative ideas made the process so easy. Julie helped us redesign the back room of our salon which doubles as work space and break room. The out come is beautiful and functional all the girls love the space and it literally makes the day better to work in a beautiful space. I highly recommend Julie

It is without any reservations that we recommend Julie Estes of Carlisle Design! You will never meet a more professional or more capable individual when it comes to designing and remodeling rooms or an entire house. Julie willingly offers design assistance to any type or size of project. My wife and I invited Julie into our house in November 2015 to discuss remodeling ideas. Our house was constructed in 1990 and was ready for some updating and repairs. Over the course of the last year, Julie has very professionally guided us through several extensive projects, magnificently managed the contractors through those same projects, and has delivered an amazing end product that still leaves us smiling every time we walk through the door of our home. About halfway through our efforts together, we very fondly gave Julie a new name. We began calling her our “Four Seasons Girl.” By the time we finish our remodeling, she will have been with us for at least four seasons and her work has resulted in a quality look that reminds us of the quality found in a Four Season Hotel. The bottom line for us, Julie is a quality person who is an absolute pleasure to work with and she delivers a quality product that will leave you very appreciative of her and her talents. We highly recommend Julie Estes!

Julie was great! We built our retirement home in the mountains. Julie provided her insight and assistance on every aspect of both the the exterior and interior of the home...from siding and roofing choices, tile, lighting, and cabinets. Julie helped me arrange furniture and hang art in my living room and family room. The living room furniture had been purchased at a local furniture store about 5 years ago. The decorator from the furniture store arranged the furniture when I purchased it but it never felt right. Julie did a wonderful job of rearranging existing furniture and also hung the art that I already owned. Julie was very professional and nice to work with. I would highly recommend choosing Julie for your next decorating project.

While we chose the plans, Julie shepherded us through the entire process of building a new home, including myriad choices of colors, trims, counter-tops, cabinets, lighting, tile, plumbing fixtures and soon window treatments. We have been consistently thrilled with her patience, her ability to listen to our desires, her attention to our budget and her flair for design. We LOVE the results of her work and just as important, she is a delight to work with. Her rates are quite fair for the amount of time she commits. She does what she says she will do, when she says she will do it. She was helpful in communicating with the general contractor as well as selecting and communicating with subs.

I called Julie Estes to come to my home to give me an assessment of what I needed for window treatments for my living room, kitchen, and family room. She was very professional, and arrived on time to do the assessment. Over time, we selected drapery fabric and rods for all three rooms, as well as 2 sets of sheer blinds for the living room. We also installed a cellular shade for the back door, and recovered two wing chairs for the living room. Throughout the process Julie always answered my questions promptly, and she worked hard to locate the best fabric at the best price. The drapery company she used was wonderful, and the installer was great. Julie even helped me locate an electrician to install the plugs that were needed for the automatic window blinds. I can't say enough about Julie Estes and what she accomplished. I am very pleased with the results and the professional service she provided. She is a great partner..

Julie has been great to work with. She has completed excellent work on a few clubhouses and model apartment designs in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey for Lincoln Property Company. She adds a personal touch of local pieces into each design that makes her design approach unique.
