I started Avenue Interiors in 2006 and since then have been striving to help our clients enjoy the design process while transforming their homes into havens of comfort and stylish design. The surrounding natural beauty of the Lowcountry never stops giving and has helped us make a design shift toward using indigenous colors and more organic, local materials and sources. We make frequent trips to Atlanta, GA, High Point, NC, New York & France (Belgium bound in 2018!) where we visit our favorite markets, shops and dealers that help us to keep both our perspective fresh and our eye keen. By these efforts we are able to provide our clients with layers of design in which both antiques and cutting edge new design are used together creating a depth that is otherwise missing. Our design style is a timeless fusion of traditional, vintage and contemporary that doesn't answer to a strict formula. We especially like to employ interior design through a measured use of color, pattern and textiles. In addition to helping clients realize their own personal style, we always strive to create a warm and inviting space that will have strong staying power, due to well thought out plans for scale and symmetry and a layered approach to design. I have 20+ years of hands on experience acquiring, renovating and selling properties. This provides a multi-faceted perspective, not only enabling my team to design personal spaces to enjoy, but to also increase the investment potential of the property. I had the privledge of recently working with Sally & Ailsa on a large project that consisted of renovating 6 homes downtown. For anyone this would be a massive undertaking when considering the shear size, scope, timeframe, & current supply chain issues this project had to contend with. Avenue Interiors met these challenge head on and delivered in every way. I was impressed with their designs, organization, and ability to listen and deliver options that met our clients goals! I look forward to working with them in the near future.

We had such a great experience with Sally! She has a keen eye for detail that comes through in all of her design work. Her help with the overall design of our remodel was exactly what we wanted. Just the right paint colors and lighting to really step up our project. Would highly recommend her for any level of design work!

We hired Sally for our interior design needs on our two recent restaurant projects. We finished Kid Cashew in Mt. Pleasant and RuRu’s on East Bay in downtown Charleston in record time and Sally contributed greatly to both the timeliness of the design and the quality of the end product. She is always game to value engineer design by thinking outside the box to deliver a high end result while being sensitive to budget. She understands improvisation is a must in restaurant work where time is of the essence and manages to do this with finesse under pressure. Sally helped us to design several custom pieces that both elevate our design as well as embody the spirit of the restaurant’s aesthetic. We are continually told the design is top drawer for both restaurants and we hope to continue to work with Sally in the future. She does beautiful quality work and is great to have on the project. Also, she is a great horsewoman and will make a great polo player. I hope she will remember little ole me when she goes pro. Cheerio!

We began our working relationship with Sally about 15 years ago in Atlanta, GA. Since then we have looked to her for stylish interiors that are a balance of invigorating design and uber comfort for our homes in San Francisco, Sullivans Island & Manhattan. Sally encourages a creative collaboration so that our family's personality comes through and this is what is most important to her. She asks questions and really listens which helps us to fine tune our aesthetic to create a style that is our very own.

Working with Sally designing our new home on Johns Island has been a wonderful, efficient process. She listens and continues to provide great, affordable ideas that really work in our spaces... What we like most is her ability to work with pieces we currently have and blend with newer trends. Working with Sally has been a delight! I showed her my vision and after seeing the space, she created a game plan that was spot on and within my $40,000 budget. We added a fourth bedroom to my townhome, enabling my guests to have total privacy. The bedroom went from cold ‘storage’ to a warm and inviting space.
