Atelier Roux

We engaged Manon to help us think about the possibilities our living spaces had to offer. Neither of us are particularly design-inspired but when presented with the floor plans and ideas Manon had for our spaces, we knew that we were in good hands. We are making much better use of our family room, where we spend our most time, and have plans to implement the designs Manon produced for us in our play room and dining room. Manon was understanding of our need to build room-by-room and didn't pressure us to buy furniture, but was very helpful in making recommendations when we asked for them. We would absolutely use Atelier Roux again in the future.

Manon does an excellent job of helping you find where design meets functionality. Manon helped us complete our long and narrow entry way that we'd been in limbo on for years trying to find items that worked for the space but that also felt like "us." Working with the furniture we had and combining it with custom pieces and big box store pieces, we were able to pull together something beautiful, functional and organized (which is not easy with young kids). Manon is patient, resourceful, organized and a great communicator. She helped us continue to move the needle at our own pace and we are so excited to have an entryway that feels like home. We look forward to working with Manon on our next project.

I am having a wonderful experience with Manon and Atelier Roux. I never expected to use the phrase "my designer suggested...". I didn't think I could afford design services, and I didn't understand the value add beyond what some stores would offer for free. The difference is very clear to me now and the pieces of my home are coming together beautifully. Manon is truly your "on call designer" and collaborator who marries her expertise with your preferences to come up with an overall aesthetic for your home. She has a keen artistic sensibility, but she's also organized and available from a professional standpoint. From my first "clarity call" onward, Manon developed a sense of our style preferences as well as the unique architectural elements of our property. Our work has been a combo of zoom & in person--I provided detailed measurements and photos of my space, and she also did a site visit to confirm and get a feel for things. After a series of zoom calls, she mocked up her own digital floorplans and provided suggestions on everything from furniture layout to paint colors. She used a pinterest board to share ideas and that allowed me to select what I liked and add more. She emailed me moodboards with layouts of our furniture selections so I could get a picture of what it looked like. These visuals were really valuable for me because I am not the most visuo-spatially inclined, so seeing digital drawings of my space with the furniture selections made it much easier for me to decide what I liked and what I didn't. She considered my budget and never flinched when I said "I cant afford X" or "I dont want to spend Y". She sourced from a variety of vendors, even visiting a few stores in person to verify quality! She would also help us understand why certain things aren't a good match, and shared ideas that go beyond furniture i.e. installing a shiplap wall in our bedroom for a modern farmhouse look. She creatively combines ideas around color, light, furniture and overall look and feel--she's not just picking our your chairs, she's creating a vision. Our space is largely complete and our next step is the really fun stuff--pops of color and accessories and wall art, and I'm excited to see what she comes up with. Overall, I find that Manon is incredibly responsive, organized, and easy to work with. She helped make the daunting task of furnishing a home much more streamlined--she came up with ideas and we narrowed them down, and we went back and forth until we liked the final product. She also really cut down on the marital conflicts by taking some of the decisions off of our plate ;) I spoke to a reference before working with Manon and the reference shared that she got so much for her money, and I can honestly say the same thing. For the # of hours I purchased, I feel I am getting twice my money's worth. She follows up on everything diligently and I feel that she is invested in helping me create a beautiful home. I recommend her highly!

Manon has truly been a pleasure to work with in decorating my first home. It was a daunting task, coming from a 2 bedroom apartment and moving to a 5 bedroom house, but she’s certainly lightened the load and made it all feel more manageable. Manon has a wonderful eye for design and a knack for seamlessly melding styles. She is extremely flexible and patient (super important for me because I’m pretty indecisive). She’s always well-prepared for our sessions and, when we’re done, she sends thorough rundowns of what we discussed and an action plan for going forward, which I really appreciate. You can tell she works her butt off for clients. I’d highly recommend working with Manon!

I continue to feel so grateful for the guidance that Manon gave me. I love to change my space around often but was ready to find a permanent solution and wasn't sure how to get there. More than the big stuff (like what color rug to get or what color to paint my walls), the smaller details of where to place certain objects and how to rearrange smaller pieces of furniture is what helped to make my space feel perfect and airy. I still have friends who are coming over for the first time since the pandemic and tell me they feel so at peace in my home, that everything just flows perfectly.
