Frances Pusch Fine Sewing for Interiors (FP/FSI) is a custom studio/workroom. Frances, with the support of skilled assistants, collaborates with interior designers and homeowners to create finely crafted and designed soft furnishings, including draperies, slipcovers, roman shades, bedding, cushions, pillows and more, for homes and businesses. Additionally, we sell and install shades and blinds, make and upholster head- and cornice-boards and recover dining room chair seats and ottomans. (We don’t reupholster furniture, though we often hear that our slipcovers look just like upholstery!) We take on a portion or all phases of a project from concept to installation. The business occupies a two-story barn-like building in the village of Warren in Midcoast Maine. It accommodates the numerous supplies and professional equipment necessary to produce an assortment of products. Sample books of fabric and trim and hardware catalogs are displayed in a first floor meeting room while fabrication is done on the second floor in an open, light-filled space. We primarily work with designers and homeowners in the Midcoast Maine area, including nearby islands. We will travel locally to your home or office and always welcome studio visits. FP/FSI also teams with interior designers in other states, shipping finished work in carefully packed boxes. We love what we do and put our “ heart and soul” into every project.
