I love working with clients to create design solutions that meet their needs and express their personal style. Striking that perfect combination of smart functionality and beautiful aesthetic is what I do best. I have over twenty years of design experience – most of which is focused on window treatments. I understand the structural and stylistic nuances of every type of window covering and work closely with my clients to create a customized look for their individual space. I am routinely inspired by gorgeous prints, rich colors and clean lines, which is why I’m pleased to work as an In-Home Stylist for Smith & Noble. Their extensive hard and soft lines, and commitment to customer service allows me to transform the look and feel of a variety of interiors. When I’m not busy with a design project, I enjoy sewing and spending time with my husband and three daughters.

Fran was extremely helpful in achieving the look we were going for. She was knowledgable about the different options and costs associated with them and had thoughtful suggestions. Fran Clarke was a big help when it came time for me to chose window treatments for my home. She promptly arrived at my house with many samples and spent time in each room choosing from the vast array of beautiful colors and materials. She came out more than once. She was present when the installer came out to measure to make sure everything went smoothly. Fran has a great eye for color and is efficient, creative and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Fran if you want a home with beautiful window treatments.

Fran was very helpful with ideas and took the time to go through every room and bring out all the fabric samples needed to get the look I was going for. The installer she sent was very prompt and courteous and did a very good job on my windows. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing new window treatments.

Fran was very easy to work with. I was worried the choices of fabric would overwhelm me but she made it very easy for me and helped me chose the right colors to complement my surroundings. Once the blinds were fitted she insisted on checking that I was happy with everything and that the blinds looked great - not many do this once you have paid your money!. I used Fran for blinds in both my kitchen and bedroom settings and her advice was very valuable. Her style tips to help you choose are worthwhile and things that I would not have otherwise thought of. When I get round to decorating other rooms I will definitely go back to Fran.

Fran helped me choose window treatments for all of the bedrooms in our home. She was so helpful in showing me various options and helping me decide on fabrics. She was there the day of the installation and was in great communication with me throughout the very smooth and easy process! I recommend working with Fran and Smith & Noble- both high quality!

Fran brought me just the right fabric and curtain design to coordinate with the rest of my room and an existing cornice. I would not hesitate to recommend her services! Just a quick note to say how wonderful it was to work with Fran Clark, our Smith & Noble designer. Fran was extremely friendly, professional and very helpful throughout the In-Home design process and installation. Fran was respectful of our budget while managing to come up with some beautiful ideas to allow in natural light but still maintain our privacy. We would definitely work with Fran Clark again and I would recommend her to my friends.

I needed flat Roman shades for my living and dining rooms. The Smith and Noble rep had tons of sample fabric and with her great design sense the process of selection was a breeze. She was able to tally my order and email an invoice on the spot. Plus, I could pay with my credit card immediately. Measurements were taken and an installation was scheduled. The whole process took two weeks, far better than the two months that a local store had quoted me.
