I wish I could do 2 ratings. Part 1 should be odering and product installation. Frank and Kris were excellent in ordering, delivering, and installing the window shades and window shutters. We are very pleased with them and the product. I would give them 5 stars. We placed the order March 2023 and they were installed by July 2023. Now for Part 2. There was something wrong with door shutter ordered in March 2023. As a result, it was not installed with the other windows in July 2023. They would have to reorder the door shutter. In October 2023, Kris contacted me and said she forgot all about the order and apologized. She said she would put the order in. It is now Feb 2024 and still no door shutter. We paid for this door shutter in March 2023 and have not heard anything from Kris or Frank. I have tried repeated emails, texts, and voice mails, but I get no response from Delmarva Blinds & Shutters. Very disappointing since the window installations went perfect. As a result, this is why I went from 5 stars to 2 stars. It's like they see my email address and phone number and choose to ignore me.

I was so nervous and worried about the process of getting plantation shutters and the cellular blinds throughout my home after hearing horror stories from friends about the expense, and that they weren’t happy in the end. Put all your worries to rest, Delmarva blinds and shutters came out, helped me to create exactly what I was looking for!!! And to top it all off, the pricing could not be touched by any of the other companies I had looked into! I couldn’t be happier, and my house looks beautiful.

A wonderful family owned company! Kristen was so quick to respond and answer any questions. We had 8 doors and 10+ windows of various sizes we needed blinds for and Frank and Brady were super helpful with helping me figure out the type of blind for each room/window! The blackout blinds in the kids rooms have been life changing, and the solar-charging motor option is so wonderful! It is so convenient to be able to put all the blinds up at once by using my phone whenever our toddler starts to mess with the blinds. The product quality, customer service and installation couldn’t be better. Not to mention their price was amazing!

We moved to a new house with only two windows that didn't have shutters installed by the previous owners. Delmarva Blinds and Shutters recently installed shutters for all the windows in our house, plus a cellular shade for the sliding glass door. We wanted to move away from curtains and thought we wanted shutters. However, we definitely needed professional help in deciding what products would be best for our home. Kris and Frank came to our home with samples of their products, and they provided helpful suggestions on how we could update our window treatments and stay within our budget. We ordered wood shutters for the family room and composite shutters for the remaining rooms that face intense heat and sun in the summer months. The honeycomb shade they suggested for the sliding glass door is perfect. It gives us the privacy and insulation from the sun that we were seeking, but also folds back very compactly to provide an unobstructed view. We are very pleased with the quality of the products and the impeccable installation process. Delmarva Blinds & Shutters is a small, family owned business and customer service is a top priority with Kris and Frank. They do everything, from the initial consultation to the final installation. I cannot express enough how professional and amazing this company was! My husband and I had ordered plantation shutters from a different company that turned out bad. When that company refused to fix the problem, I called Delmarva Blinds & Shutters to see if they would come do a consultation and confirm the original installation was wrong. Kristine and her husband, Frank, could not have been nicer and more helpful! They came over the very next day and wrote up a statement on letterhead for our credit card company, so we could get our money back from the first company. They also explained in detail what the first company should have done and how they would make it right for us. Delmarva helped me pick the type of blinds and shutters to get, told me about the different quality levels and options and left the decisions up to me. No pressure, unlike some of the other companies. It was a great experience. They blinds came in about 3 weeks and were installed in a little over an hour by the husband-wife team (the owners). They showed me how to take care of the blinds and fixed a problem, on the spot with one of the binds. Total professionals. I purchased plantation shutters for my newly constructed home from Delmarva. From start to finish they beat anyone else's pricing, was timely, sent updates, waited for me for over an HOUR on the day of settlement, and still was extremely accommodating, patient, kind, and professional. Would absolutely use them again!!! Highly recommend them! And did I mention my shutters are BEAUTIFUL! I had 30 windows and patio doors and got them ordered and installed for less than 12K! It was such a pleasure dealing with Kristine and Frank at Delmarva Blinds. I wanted to provide my own material for roman blinds for the kitchen which was no problem. They came out measured, told me how long to expect before the blinds would be ready for installation. Right on schedule they called and set up installation. We replaced pleated shades in our family room & kitchen and installed plantation shutters in our newly remodeled master bathroom. I highly recommend Delmarva Blinds. They came to our house and measured for woven wood blinds. They had a large selection of woven woods at a variety of price levels. I was able to get the woven wood blinds at a cost that fit within my budget. They even provided me with a rebate that the blind manufacturers gave them to keep my cost down. Once the order was placed, they were quick to come back out and get my blinds installed. The blinds make a world of difference in my room!

When we bought our house in 2014, we had always envisioned it with plantation shutters. We did some preliminary research into cost and checked with Home Depot and Next Day Blinds on product quality and weren't too impressed. That's when we came across Delmarva Blinds. My wife and I met Kristine and Frank with Delmarva Blinds at the Dulles Home Show back in January of 2015. Of course there were about five or six other vendors selling their window products at the show but Kristine and Frank came off very professional and not pushy at all. Before left the show we set up a consultation for the following week. They were on time and took measurements quick. We found their quote VERY affordable compared to the competition both large and small. To accommodate our budget, we completed our order in two phases and they were more than willing to work with us on it. As soon as we placed our order, we were told it would take about 8 weeks for delivery. We received tracking information so we could check on the progress. Frank and Kristine installed the blinds themselves and were done in about two hours. I would post a picture if I could because they look beautiful and are of the highest quality out there. Way better than what we saw in Home Depot. We are thrilled with our shutters and get compliments from neighbors all the time. A big THANK YOU to Frank and Kristine for doing such a great job.

I have used Delmarva Blinds and Shutters for two jobs. The first was for a custom circle window shutter, which other firms had not been able to accomplish. They did a perfect job and it looks great. The second job was for wood blinds for four windows in the living room and dining room. They installed a unique valance that covered two windows that are together in the dining room. It was a complicated process, but they finished it beautifully and the blinds look wonderful as well. The owners come to the home to take the orders, measure, and do the installation. They are both very personable, timely, and make sure the customer is completely satisfied. I highly recommend this company.

We met Kristine at a Home Show. She was upfront and sincere, and not pushy like so many other vendors are. When they came to our house for an estimate, they answered all of our questions thoughtfully. We decided to use Delmarva over other companies that we received estimates from, because we liked them, we liked their product, we like their price, and we liked that they are a small business and they really know what they are doing. The casement plantations shutters that we ordered are exactly as we expected them to be - gorgeous! Frank and Kris did the installation themselves, and they have it down to a science! They are friendly, and very efficient. We love that they do not use contractors. Overall, our experience has been very, very positive. Remember, the plantation shutters are custom ordered and made for each window, so it's not a quick turn-around. But they are well worth the wait! We could not be happier!

In 2013, I was delighted to be working in the same home with Delmarva Blinds and Shutters. Both our companies, were brought on site to do work for a beautiful home in Clifton, Virginia. I was hired to hand-paint a Santorini, Greece scene in a bedroom. I hired Delmarva Blinds to install wood blinds in four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a powder room and a room over the garage, but I got so much more! Frst of all, I got really good - and realistic advice - about what I could and should get for the money I was looking to spend. I also got good decorative advice that was very helpful in getting me to pull the trigger on a project that I had been dragging my feet on for a number of years. Kristine was spot on in the color choices she suggested and Frank is a whiz at installation. The product came in when they said it would and they had it up in no time.
