Daniel and Brant built a new front porch entry for our 1926 home and we couldn't be more pleased with the results! They were supremely professional and took care with every detail of the project, from the setup to the cleanup. Daniel adjusted our original design to best fit the reality of the existing porch and it turned out even better than we could have imagined. He is a great communicator and provided us with options and recommendations as the project went along. We look forward to working with Westbrook Restorations again in the future!

After looking for 10 years we finally found the right person for our project. Daniel Westbrook is a true, talented craftsman in restoring damaged and worn out woodwork. Our office has worked on a few different projects with Westbrook, but this was my first time to be working directly with Daniel. I have to say that it was an incredible experience. We worked with Daniel on a gut remodel of the second floor of our 1919 house. We have previously done a major house remodel, so we had some idea what to expect from a contractor. Daniel exceeded our every expectation and we recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a contractor in the Seattle area. We could not be more pleased with our experience, both the process of the remodel and the results. Daniel is exactly what I was looking for in a contractor -- someone of deep integrity who appreciates an older home, sees himself as a partner in creating something beautiful and well made, and prides himself on the highest quality work possible. Daniel excelled at communication, with us as homeowners as well as with the architect and the subcontractors. Whenever we had a question, he responded very quickly. I had many opportunities to overhear him working with the subcontractors, and it was apparent that they had mutual respect and a solid working relationship. I think that went a long way to making our project run smoothly -- the subcontractors showed up when they were needed and worked to the same standard of quality that Daniel sets for himself. There will always be some problems or mistakes on a job as big as ours -- the key is in how they are handled, and Daniel hit the mark on this as well. Everything was quickly dealt with and in many cases we ended up with something even better thanks to his creative problem solving skills. The job ran so well that we only ended up going over the estimated schedule by a couple of weeks (due to unforeseen issues). I was surprised when our architect said all his other projects were months behind! Our architect also commented that ours was the cleanest job site he'd ever seen, thanks to the fact that Daniel and his assistant Weylin cleaned up every single day. We never had the invasive dust and debris that remodeling projects always seem to bring. Daniel is a true craftsman, the kind you might think doesn't exist any more. Everything in our project was finished perfectly. Long before the finishes were even considered, though, Daniel was ensuring that the framing and other structural work was done thoughtfully and carefully to ensure the success of those finishes. That attention to detail is something that may go overlooked but is critical to the final result. I was impressed with Daniel's ability to think far ahead during the early stages to what would make that final result really shine. We had so much confidence in Daniel that we left on vacation at the end of the project, and when we returned home, there wasn't a single thing for us to put on a punch list. Weeks later, it still looks as flawless as the day he finished. We are thrilled with the entire process as well as the result. We still have more renovations to do on our house and we will be turning to Westbrook Restorations again, I'm sure!

Daniel is the real thing. We own a 1925 capitol hill home that we wanted to remodel but keep the feel of the original house. Daniel turned out to be the perfect fit for our purpose. He is a true craftsman and it shows in his work. We re-did our kitchen and basement. The finished product looks as though it was the original house design (with modern conveniences of course), simply put, the work fit the house. We are extremely happy with the end result and would recommend Daniel to anyone looking to do high quality work. On top of all of that, Daniel was a pleasure to work with. Communication was great throughout the project and I developed complete trust with Daniels judgement.

I have perhaps a unique view of Westbrook Restoration. We were selected to be one of their subcontractors on a comprehensive Seattle remodel. We had the honor of collaborating with Daniel and the experience was a pleasure from beginning to end. He communicated well and timely, was very clear as to expectations and work responsibility and yet He was very receptive to our ideas and suggestions. We felt like a valuable member of his team and were respected as such. He is a person of high integrity and it shows in his professionalism. He is definitely a keeper of the craft. He were kind, considerate, tidy and efficient. They took the custom cabinets we made and expertly installed them to our very high standards. The project was high end and complex and it turned out to be fantastic. It was a great partnership and one we look forward to continue developing with future collaborative projects.

As a high-end painting contractor I have worked with many carpenters over the years, and Daniel Westbrook at Westbrook Restorations is the best we have worked with. I found Westbrook Restorations on an internet video they made about repairing house rot. It was a perfect fit for me since I had removed an old deck,and discovered rot that went under my ledger board and into the perimeter joists of the house. The work was beyond me, and I worried about the integrity of the house structure.Daniel came out within a day or two, calmed me down and reassured me this was exactly what he does.His bid came the next day and he began work within the month. He and his assistant,Kannon, were great. they were neat, punctual,explained all the details and did very careful meticulous work. The original rot was a little less severe than originally thought, but they uncovered another rotted section that was worse. They put in flashing and waterproofing that will prevent a recurrence,and also replaced French doors that were part of the problem as well. They completed the job on schedule and under budget. These guys are not cheap, but they are great, and you get what you pay for...a well done job.

My 115 tear old house needed the complete replacement of second story exterior shingles and trim, the front trim being a unique design. Westbrook did an evaluation, told me he was not the cheapest contractor, and gave me an estimate, both time and cost. From talking with him, seeing online videos of some of his projects, I felt he could meet my high standards for the job's completion. Daniel and his crew were on the site everyday at 8 AM, rain or shine. He and his crew were professional and courteous. His work area was cleaned up daily. He talked with me at least once a week to make sure both parties were communicating about work progress, time expectations, and keeping within an agreed budget. He replicated to a T the unique design of my front fascia, a work of art in itself, which I thought might be impossible to do. The work was completed in an 8 week period and was 7% below the estimated budget. He takes complete pride in his craft and the finished project.

We hired Westbrook Restorations in 2014 to perform an exterior restoration of our 1926 Tudor style home. We tore off unsightly aluminum siding to reveal the original stucco and cedar shingles. Our home had been badly damaged with the installation of the metal siding back in the 60's. Daniel completed a 10 week job at our home, painstakingly repairing all of the damage with attention to period detail and craftsmanship. He and his crew surpassed our expectations in terms of pride in their work, continual communication and check-ins with us, and creativity in solving some challenging structural issues with custom solutions. We highly recommend Westbrook Restorations and hope to hire them again for our next large project.
